    • Great product and customer service!
I have had a great experience thus far with this dashcam and the service I have received. This is the first dashcam I've ever owned and don't know anybody that has one, so I was very unfamiliar with how they worked. I messaged customer support with so many questions of what things meant on a dashcam (on dashcams in general, not just their product) They were very patient with me and answered every question and explained everything to me in a way that I understood. Once I knew how dashcams worked, I was able to easily set it up and it's super easy to use. After 1st setting it up, I noticed the speed stamp did not turn off even if it was toggled off. I contacted customer support, they quickly did a firmware update and fixed the problem. I am not tech savvy and had no idea how to do the firmware update. They walked me through every step. The picture/video quality is great, much better than I expected for a dashcam. It does everything it says it does. I have had it installed for about a month now, and so far, I have not had any issues. I am confident, that if I did run into any issues, they would find a solution. If you do run into an issue with this dashcam, I would highly suggest contacting their customer service. They have gone above and beyond and have been so patient with me!     • Recommended Improvements
Easy to install. However, there are a few recommendations I have: 1. The mounting bracket is flat and the camera is fixed to it which means you can't turn it left or right once it's mounted. Vehicle windshields are curved so the only way to get a "square" picture would be to mount it below the rear view mirror. This would block the driver's view of the road. Since the camera is mounted to the curve of the windshield, the screen faces more to the passenger side. Change to a ball mount so the driver can rotate it for a better view. I mounted the rear camera inside my pickup and it works just fine. 2. The cigarette lighter plug is cumbersome and unsightly with the cord dangling and visible. Instead, I used a 10 foot USB cord to connect to a USB port under my dash using a Garmin Constant Power Cable, OBD-II port to supply power even when the vehicle is powered off. Works fine and much neater installation since it's completely out of sight. 3. It would be nice to have a larger screen. I'm taking a cross-country road trip tomorrow and will see how the camera works and serves my needs. Hopefully, all will go well.... ... show more

Installed in about an hour. Had a problem with the hard wire setup as no fuse box inside my vehicle. When I activated my warranty, I noted this in the comments and within a few hours they emailed me and offered to provide an OEM setup for free. Seemed too good to believe but I accepted, and it arrived within two days. FREE! Installed it and now works great with the added parked coverage.     • The company made things right!!
I purchased this camera and had a bad experience with it. The company reached out and I have had many respondents back and forth with them over the past few months. This company’s customer service is nothing short of excellent! Every issue the camera had, the customer support rep Aila has been amazing and truly wanted to give the best product to the customer. Without going into details of exactly how far the business went to provide a great working product, they did exactly that. I believe there were some bugs that needed worked out of the new F17 camera and it seems to be working without any issues. I waited to write this review to ensure the product was working to what I expected out of it. In all, I would highly recommend the F17 as well as the REDTIGER company. As I stated above, their customer service is one of the best I’ve ever encountered and the camera works great. There was issues with it randomly shutting off and the IR light not working properly, this is no longer the case. The camera works amazing and I cannot say enough about this product and company!     • It worked for a total of two weeks.
The cam was easy enough to put up and connect to the cigarette lighter. It records to a memory card and records over ona loop. If you want to upload the video to your phone, you have to stop recording first and connect to the cam. You will then be able to download the video in the 1, 3, or 5 minute snippets (whatever your initial settings were.) I did not like that once I connected to the cam via its wifi, I couldn’t disconnect. I had to turn the cam off and turn it back on. The power is either through the plug into the cigarette lighter or you can buy their hardwire kit to hook up to your fuses, that will also allow you to use the cam in parking mode. Two weeks after use the cam kept shutting off even tho the plug was glowing blue so I know it didn’t lose power. At that point I decided to return it. I got a more expensive cam from a different brand and that one has an option to hook up via OBD plug, which made things so much easier to keep parking mode on. I didn’t want to pay someone $150 to install a $20 kit for a $180 camera because I couldn’t do the hardwire kit myself. Over all, it’s ok when it works. Customer service was responsive and gave me steps to trouble shoot but I just returned it because that’s way too much trouble to deal with a brand new item that’s not cheap. ... show more

I did receive a new camera from them. They have fantastic customer service. I would recommend them for that all by itself. The Camera itself is a great piece of technology that I think should be in all vehicles on the roadway for the safety of all drives. This Dash cam is probably the best one I’ve seen yet! Picture quality is great both front and rear. After setup and app installation, the functions are great! The download on the app and the transfer via email or text are smooth and easy. The customer service is awesome!!! Highly recommended!!
