  • Solid wireless gaming mouse Solid wireless gaming mouse
Style: 2.4G Wireless
I bought the gaming mouse for my son to use on his gaming PC, and he absolutely loves it. It feels comfortable in his hand and the wireless connection is very stable, with no lag while gaming. He really likes being able to change the sensitivity easily. The 7 programmable buttons are a great feature for gaming shortcuts, and the red LED lighting gives it a cool gaming look without being over the top. Setup was simple, and it works great on his PC with no issues. This is an excellent gaming mouse for the price, especially for kids or teens who are into PC gaming. I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it. ... show more

  • Solid basic mouse
Style: 2.4G Wireless
No issues found. A good AA battery and I was set. It not a silent mouse so the clicks do make a sound but my brain got over it pretty quickly. Programmable buttons is technically true but not to the extent that I want them. So it'll the average mouse has say 8 options. The programmable options are just those 8 options. E.g. The mouse has left and right buttons. With this mouse, I can make the right button either left click or right click. Not the worse thing but I was hoping to add a copy or a paste function. I was also hoping that I would have some way to know when the battery was dying. Only sign is the mouse starts behaving wonky. I was thinking my new mouse was malfunctioning. Only to change the battery and it was fine again. ... show more

  • Download the software for full feature set!
Style: 2.4G Wireless
Right off the bat, I wanted to tell you to download the software for this mouse to get its full feature set. If you don't install the software, the mouse will operate with a polling rate of just 125Hz. With the software installed, you can move this up to 500Hz and have a huge benefit to your aim as things will feel much smoother. You can think of this the same way you think of monitor refresh rates, like 60Hz vs 144Hz monitors. --- This mouse hits all the high notes for me: wireless functionality, comfortable grip, LED gamer aesthetic lighting--even if it's just basic red, decent DPI, optical sensor instead of laser, easy to swap AA battery instead of frequent charging, and best of all, a price of a measly $20 bill. Overall the mouse feels like decent quality in your hand, so build quality is solid at this price point. I'll add that I did have to pull small pieces of cellophane plastic off of the rubber feet on the mouse. The manual didn't mention these, but it was obvious that the mouse would slide better by pulling the plastic off and letting the actual rubber touch my mouse pad instead. Maybe this was a factory or manual oversight. I decided on this mouse whenever my Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum started having issues staying connected wirelessly and with the left click not always working. I already had experience with Redragon products, as I use their K551 RGB keyboard with blue switches. I used to play competitive games like Counter-Strike at a near professional level about 12 years ago, but since I'm "retired" from taking games seriously, I can't really justify spending $80-120 on a new mouse these days. Overall I'm super satisfied with this Redragon M656 "Gainer" wireless mouse. It took me very little time to adapt to my new mouse in FPS games like Halo and Valorant. Let's just say for $20, it really fit the bill. Don't forget to download that software to get the full polling rate benefits! Your aim will thank you for it. ... show more

  • Tremendous value - some quirks to get used to
Style: 2.4G Wireless
The long and short of it: Redragon continues to produce mice that are tremendous values for their price point. If you are new to gaming mice or on a budget, this is worth a buy. The moment-to-moment usage is on par with premium gaming mice I have paid triple the price for. However, there are a few nitpicks that certainly feel relevant to that price point - none of which are dealbreakers (and in fact get better with time). Pros: - Silky smooth tracking. If paired with a high refresh rate monitor, you'll truly feel that this thing tracks naturally with the movements of your hand. - Sizeable: A con for some, a huge pro for me. Big hand gamers will dig it. - Built well: Nothing feels heavy or made of particularly premium material, but it's on par with SteelSeries and Corsair mouses I've used in the quality of their plastic, and the molding/texture of things like the side buttons are really pleasant. - Clicky!: All clicks feel like they can take a beating, they're nice and perfectly responsive. Some switch snobs (and I say that lovingly) may want to look elsewhere - but for the price, they seem like they'll last a long, long time. Cons: - Battery life: One double A died after a day of idling. If you're used to lithium ion batteries, you might sacrifice a few. Remember to turn your mouse off when done using it! - Occasional accidental tracking: In a dark room, on a dark deskpad, this will track in midair without needing to make full contact. This caught me off guard initially, but you quickly adapt to it. - Took some time to get smooth: the rubber feet on the mouse had a few bits of excess plastic hanging off that came off under about 15-20 minutes of normal usage. Until I used it enough for them to fall off, it was a bit resistant and rough to move around. After that, silky smooth. Overall, it's a really solid mouse that is insane value for the money. Maybe my perspective is skewed, but this was purchased to replace a mouse three times its price whose mouse wheel completely died after six months. I'll take a comparable experience for that price! ... show more

  • Good quality, light, works well! Good quality, light, works well!
Style: 2.4G Wireless
The Redragon M656 Gainer is an underrated wireless mouse that’s really impressed me. I’ve used one daily at work and another on my laptop for over a year now with zero issues. It’s comfortable for long sessions, has solid specs for both productivity and casual gaming, and the eco mode (which disables the red LEDs) helps extend battery life. The finish has also held up surprisingly well—no peeling or wear despite heavy use. For the price, it’s hard to beat: reliable, efficient, and built to last. ... show more

  • Excellent Mouse for the Price
Style: 2.4G Wireless
This mouse is amazing. I bought it to replace a broken more expensive Razer Basilisk. I wanted this one because of the similar shape. It's a little taller and not as wide as the Basilisk but I got used to it quickly. No connectivity issues. Feels great. Would definitely buy again. Redragon continues to amaze me. ... show more

  • Worked great, not great for Mac.
Style: 2.4G Wireless
It was a comfortable mouse and had a great price, but the software doesn't exist to customize the buttons and no Redragon software works on Mac.
