  • 5.0 out of 5 stars So far so good, it's ok.
I live in Kenya, and had to ship from the US. It took 2 weeks to be dispatched from Amazon. Once dispatched, it arrived warehouse within 2days. Now, let's talk about the board, I have the ATX version, and it looks nicer in person. The board I received came with bios update 2014(Nov 2022), which I believe should allow compatibly with 13th gen CPUs (this can vary and you might not be as lucky, and get an older bios that don't support 13th gen) It picked up my graphics card rx 570, though there was flickering at first. A few restarts and it sorted itself out. The board has led lights for troubleshooting for any problems, which is really helpful. The IO shield is very flimsy, cheap and can very easily cut you pretty bad if you not careful. I am happy with it, and has not had any issues so far. Will update if anything changes. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Have to update BIOS to support 13th gen intel CPU...but can't access BIOS without a 12th gen CPU.
As the title says. 13th gen CPUs are "supported" but you have to have an updated BIOS. If you don't happen to have a 12th gen CPU just laying around...the board won't POST with a 13th gen CPU. (Edit: when this is the problem, you power on the system and it will stall on the -DRAM- Q-LED, not CPU.) ASUS knows about this problem (BIOS Flashback!) but the feature is only available on more expensive motherboards. Bush league move from a brand that I've had nothing but good experiences with. <<Week later follow up>> Changed from 1 star to 4 stars. I'm still a bit miffed that there was no method of updating the BIOS without a 12th gen CPU. (But it does make sense...if you bought this board with a 12th gen CPU, and are upgrading to a 13th gen. Easy.) Luckily, I was able to borrow a i3-12100 from a friend. The board immediately POSTed and I was able to update the BIOS, swapped my i5-13600 in there and it has been working flawlessly. Which is what makes the BIOS update chicken\egg issue so frustrating; in my experience, ASUS makes solid products. Now that this is working, it's running great. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Watch where you plug your fans.
It's affordable and works good.. I'm not sure if i did something wrong or if it was just short circuit, but the fan 2 plugs were overvoltage amd burnt out my case fans. I had to plug all of them into the fan 3 plugs using Y adapters. Other than that it's all good.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Good motherboard.
I was looking for a B660 chipset for my home NAS since I'm using a non K series intel CPU. Unfortunately, I was given an open box item with missing pieces and thermal paste all over the motherboard. I purchased the same board with a different retailer. I'm using three M2 drives using RAID through the motherboard and found the performance adequate. Given that it has only 4 SATA ports, I plan on purchasing a RAID card for the remaing HDD. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Works
Used the new 13th gen CPU. I was able to boot it up using the 13th gen and update the bios immediately, make sure you prepare the updated bios on a thumb drive before if you're upgrading from a very old build. Did not recognize my SSD drives, I had to enable some sort of compatibility setting under boot menu to get it to work, even then I get a blue screen and have to select the drive to boot from the bios. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars It gets the job done
Its good! Note that this is a standard run-of-the mill motherboard and it does NOT have overclocking ability nor all the bells and whistles that the fancier more expensive MBs have but you know what? its good enough for me, I do not overclock at all so I'm content with my purchase.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Great Board
Just built a new PC. no issue. Dropped an Intel i9 1200k with a 12GB GPU. The processor runs cool with the aid of a radiator cooler. Dropped in 64GB of Ram @3600, but the board is not as fast. Might be able to update the bios though. I had to buy a Y adapter in order to install all fans and the pump cooler for only a couple more bucks. I added 3 hard drives to run After Effects. Just minor tweaking to get everything going, but I enjoyed the few things that needed to be addressed. ... show more
