Top Amazon Reviews

  • Great, unique, and very bright keyboard
Color: black Size: blue switch
I was a little hesitant to purchase this keyboard after reading the reviews, especially considering the frequent mention of typing difficulty with the keys on the keyboard. I mean it looked great, but the whole purpose of a keyboard is typing on it and if it poses problems in that area, it could be a real deal-breaker. I went ahead and ordered it anyway because it just looked so cool. After receiving it, I plugged it in and, with a little trepidation, began typing on it. I found that getting accustomed to the keys was a very minor concern. In fact, I would not even consider it an issue at all. I think it caused me to hit another key in addition to the one I was typing once or twice; however, I’m not a great at keyboarding, so it could very well have been me. On the best keyboards, I use the backspace key quite frequently. At the same time, I have had training in using a keyboard and can type without the hunt and peck method. It helps that this keyboard also has a little raised line on the F and J keys so you can get the correct hand placement without looking. I think the thing that throws people off is not the size of the keys as much as the feel. Because they are circular, with a raised edge around the outside of the key, they feel different underneath your fingers, so it takes a little getting used to in that respect. It’s a bit of a distraction at first. It has a generous six feet of cord, which is usually ample for most setups. The cord also has a hook and loop strip which keeps the cord together when not in use. The cord is not braided, but it should hold up under regular use. The video for this keyboard was taken under very bright lighting and the RGB colors show very well. I purchased this for my work office, where I have bright lighting, so this was a big plus. Upon plugging in a second time, it remembered my RGB settings I had on it before it was unplugged. I read a lot of reviews that mention the audible click for the Cherry red mechanical keys. While certainly different than a non-mechanical keyboard, when I began typing on this keyboard, I really did not notice the sound until I was writing the review, and what had been said by other reviewers called my attention to it. The switches I have on my keyboard for my home computer are mechanical Cherry brown, and I did not notice a lot of difference in the loudness of the sound. In fact, for an office environment, even with others around, I don’t think it would be that much of an issue, unless of course a co-worker has misophonia, then any keyboard would probably be difficult for them to tolerate. Overall, I really like this keyboard. It is very bright and has a lot of onboard color options. There are a lot of RGB keyboards that can be had for cheaper, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for, and in this instance, I am happy with what I had paid for. Not having disappointments is worth something in itself. ADDENDUM After further typing with this keyboard, I decided to amend my review. I still really like it, but there is a little getting used to the keyboard before one is comfortable with it. Since the space of the keys took up more space than the keyboard I replaced, on the vertical plane anyway, I figured that the size of the keys could not be the problem. If anything, they were spaced further apart than a regular keyboard. So, I began to think of other factors that might affect the feel of this keyboard. First, I tried folding a couple of pieces of paper and raising the wrist rest by about 1/8 of an inch. This seemed to help, but it still wasn't where I wanted to be. I finally got somewhere very close to perfect when I folded the attached wrist rest under the keyboard, took my 3/4-inch-high traditional wrist rest, set it about ½” inch to an inch from the keyboard, and put the feet on the top of the keyboard down so the top is elevated. That pretty much did the trick, though there will probably be a little tweaking I'll do along the way. It still takes a little getting used to; however, the change in hand positioning has made so much difference. After some experimentation, I believe that the awkward feel of the keyboard was not due to the size of the keys as some reviewers had said. In fact, as I mentioned, the keys took up more space on the keyboard than the keyboard I was using. If anything, the keys were spaced a little too far apart. I think this is because they are round and do not fit together like square keys. But, after doing some trying of different things, I think what I found was a way to successfully type with much less adjustment of style or a learning curve. For me, it has much more to do with my hand position in relation to the keyboard than the keyboard itself. Furthermore, I think the provided wrist rest is too low and too close to the keyboard for optimal functioning. So, for me, I think the best answer was to use a traditional wrist rest and have the back legs of the keyboard extended. That seemed to provide a more natural position for my hands in typing. With a little help from AutoCorrect, and the occasional gratuitous use of the backspace key, I was flying across the keyboard in no time. If you purchase this keyboard, which I would recommend, I encourage you to try some experimentation yourself and find what works best for you. ... show more

  • Amazing Tactile ASMR Luxury Keyboard
Color: black Size: blue switch
Ok, firstly, I rarely write reviews. I had this in one of my lists for 2 years and it went on sale on Black Friday for $50 and decided to get it. I read all the negative reviews also and purchased it anyway (I'll follow up on those later). Let me start by saving I have never had a luxury keyboard or anything like that. I typically worked with stock or easily affordable keyboards and mice. So if you're like me, this review will be most helpful to you. I cannot critique this from a high-end perspective because I am a plebian lol I love this keyboard. The response and tactile elements are very satisfying. The LEDs are beautiful and not distracting. There are a bunch of different color settings to equip (Fn + Del, Page up, Page down, Home, etc). To me everything about this keyboard is a win. There is a little learning curve as there is transitioning to any keyboard of a different size, however, there is a little more of a learning curve going from square keys to rounded keys (this took me 2-3 hours). From the moment I took this keyboard out of the box I knew it was going to be great. The keys are straight up ASMR and the push back on the keys is fantastic for the tactile sensation. Let be clear that this keyboard does make audible clicks and may be louder than what you're used to working on (for me I was working off of a laptop keyboard). I love that though and that's where the ASMR comes in. Also, I think different sides of the keyboard have different button click feels to me; which I love. This is the best keyboard I have ever owned and I am very much loving it for the price. Some of the one star reviews say there is fading on the keys after use and the silver key rings fall off. There is a 5 star reviewer (I believe) that put the Amazon link for replacement keys. A full set is under $20. For this keyboard, I have no problem buying the keys and doing that in the future if need be. To me that's absolutely worth it. Another reviewer said that the Volume +, Volume -, Mute, and Calc keys didn't correspond to the functions on the key itself, this has not been my experience. I am unsure what happened with their item but this is not something I've experienced. I also find the dedicated Calc Key fantastic because I will be using this keyboard for work and sometimes I do need to use the Calculator. A few one star reviews said the keys ghost or activate commands unprompted, this has not been my experience. I think one reviewer said there is no light for cap lock or the other locks. I can confirm that there is indeed a light but you don't see as well because everything is lit up, but there is definitely an extra light that comes on when cap lock and num lock is on. If this is very important to you, you can change to a less bright setting where that will stand out more (easy way to see it without doing this is looking at the key rim directly in-front of that key, or the key toward the right; it will reflect back a little off the rim). I can't speak toward longevity unfortunately, but from the way it feels and responds now and the quality of it's build, it doesn't feel like it's going to break on me, but, that remains to be seen in time. I did get the extra warranty with this just in case. Actually, particularly because of the 1 star reviews. I think 2 or 3 years was $8. It's a wonderful keyboard from my perspective and I would gladly buy it again. Hope this review was helpful to you! ... show more

  • Must own for writers!
I love this!! Super portable I pick it up and exchange it between my pc and my laptop when I write. The typing is perfect I was having issues writing with the smooth square keys of the laptop. These keys are perfect I love the little click they make. They are rounded and and my fingers sit nicely when typing rapidly without accidentally hitting other keys. Just plug in and done super easy! And beautiful color. ... show more

  • Solid budget mechanical keyboard
Color: black Size: blue switch
Looks great, sounds clacky, and in general has everything I was looking for in a typewriter-style RGB keyboard. I got the protection just in cast but as of writing this review I have had no issues. The typing is smooth and once you get used to the round keys it becomes really easy to type on. My one picadillo is that pink is not one of the colors you can pick for the keyboard, which is my favorite color, but c'est la vie. Still would recommend if you want a solid budget mechanical keyboard. ... show more

  • Great
Color: black Size: blue switch
Pretty much got what I expected with this so that's always about as much as can be expected unless you have particularly low expectations of a product. I hoped this would be as good looking in person as in the pics and it definitely is, plus a bunch more. It has downsides but it's not as pricey as the big name keyboards and after a couple months it's still working fine, plus if you like the style i honestly don't know an alternative that matches it remotely on the modern typewriter sort of look it has - I think maybe once I saw an expensive keyboard made out of retrofitted keyboards, with all the issues their keys had an the less than optimal key layout and slope of the rows putting the top row far above the bottom, and the recreations would lose some cool points to solve some of these issues and supply some useful keys not on a real vintage typewriter. Stuff like that is really for hipster types to look cool and retro without care for the functionality of it as a keyboard for much of anything because computers 'are lame' or something, right? Anyway, besides liking it, some pros and cons: Pros: - Fully functional in all ways described, and as easy as plug and play - All the controls and color / effect / brightness options are available as keyboard commands, with no accompanying software required or complicated set up processes for relatively limited function options (unlike some big, expensive players - looking at you; Corsair (especially), and Logitech. Realistically programs that allow multiple effect layers (like e.g. -!a color / colors, a wave effect, a typing effect like a single color change or ripple / "pebble in a pond" effect, that's about as much as anyone can process or would look okay). You could add more but it either wouldn't be noticed because colors are similar to those used, or you can add jarring sudden bits of unexpected colors in a way that just diminishes the quality of the existing effect; Multiple constant changes clash as do multiple typing-reactant set ups. Basically, the combo of a set main color / colors / animation and the available addition of something like the ripple effect is plenty of movement and honestly more than what looks good w the style - I have a warm white / yellow and orange type background color and a typing effect in a cooler, brighter / whiter color scheme and it is more than enough, the reaction animation might be excessive to some and with this old style coloration of a warmer (2-3k kelvin) light temp that old lightbulbs were pretty exclusively made in, simple works well. You can do a rainbow and crazy stuff if you like though, and without touching your computer. - You also can independently control the side light - The mechanical feel of the keys is nice as are the satisfying click-clacks it produces, as long as you don't need to be quiet - home office yes, work office probably not unless you're the boss or at least have a private office. - Price is reasonable for quality and capabilities, at least where some keyboards are $150-200 for (seems to me) imperceivable benefits in response time etc.. and the software which can also set macros etc. easily but probably isn't worth it for non-gamers, and I doubt they're getting this anyway because it can't possibly be the best layout for that. - Seems well made, no issues - Really makes a nice look in, for example, a more traditional office (I moved into a house with an old fashioned wood paneled office and found a large wood / brass antique desk with inlaid green leather top on consignment to buy, and it fits the look perfectly - only the monitors look somewhat out of place. - Not the quickest to type on, the key shape and design aren't going to set record WPMs for you, but if you use the number pad more than the keys like me and normally average 120-180 wpm you could drop to 50-100 or so wpm but that's fine for many uses including many work needs. On that.. - Full size number pad, very comfortable and easy to use, trading options as my main vocation, I need it most and it's not failed me or even caused a typo. Cons: - Wired - Save the customization keys ... show more

  • It keys, it's pretty, it's pretty nice.
Color: black Size: blue switch
Well I'm pleasantly surprised. I was 'stocking up' on keyboards, so to speak. I saw this one and just hadda give it a shot, especially since I can never go back to a non-mechanical. It IS a bit difficult training my fingers to readjust to raised round keys, but I'll get there. Only been about 30 years since I used at type writer. Honestly, the round keys make typing a bit more tedious, but it'll probably actually improve my key accuracy over time lol, though currently my wpm are suffering. I like it. I like the color modes, it's surprisingly perfect for xmas season.. Minimally invasive, and as a highly sophisticated arm chair commando who runs keyboard in his lap.. It works fine there too. I just need to learn to stop hitting keys next to the keys I'm hitting. Practice definitely required for this guy. Has an excellent clackey sound one comes to expect from mechanicals, and the keys are surprisingly light to the touch - though you DO have to make sure to press them in alllll the way. ... show more

Color: shadow black Size: blue switch
This keyboard is a work of art! It is beautiful and well crafted. It is sturdy and the keys have the perfect level of sensitivity for my use. I was looking for some very specific specs and this keyboard checked all of my boxes. I personally enjoy the sound. I wanted a keyboard with audible clicks like a typewriter. It's not too loud and isn't disruptive to those around me but makes enough noise to sound like I'm typing up a book. Highly recommend if you are looking for a typewriter style with a modern edge. ... show more
