  • Great entry level keyboard
I wanted a mechanical keyboard with media controls and this was the best one I could find in terms of pricing. It is completely hot swap and feels very sturdy. I absolutely love redragon and all the products I've gotten from them so far. The software may seem sketchy because windows warns you about it being a Trojan horse but that is only because it changes your keyboard settings. You will see that warning from almost every keyboard software you use. The switches that come with it feel very nice from my limited knowledge and I can't really speak for the keycaps because I immediately replaced them with pudding caps that show off the rgb a little better. ... show more

  • Amazing keyboard
Finally a 75% board with media controls! Dislikes: - media control keys are membrane without good feedback - volume scroll doesn't click to mute - dark number keys (5 6 7 8) are difficult to read - metal backplate stops short of media controls. Only is underneath keyswitches - battery is only 1800mah. This is likely easily upgradeable to 4,000+ mah for less than $20 Likes - caps lock indicator - hot swappable. Even as a person who has built ~ 5 keyboards, this is a welcomed feature. The RGB LEDs are soldered to the board - easy macro recording without software - escape and delete keys right where I'd want them - good typeface despite the slight "gamer" aesthetic - switches are surprisingly smooth. Not top tier, but better than I thought - RGB is very Crisp. Color transitions are smooth. Lots of different modes toggled via fn2+\ - volume wheel has good tactile feedback - metal backplate - usb donglr storage - rubberized feet and risers ... show more

  • A great keyboard that is almost exceptional (Long Review)
EDIT (October 2023 - Purchased March 2023) 7month ownership : Internal battery that makes this wireless has completely failed. It simply does not charge. Unit was never abused or treated poorly. Was moved around 2-3 times, it just sits stationary. It still works via USB-C cable but this is not ideal as bluetooth and 2.4Ghz wireless are unusable. Love the keyboard. Not thrilled with the premature failure. Reached out to Redragon and they passed the buck to Microcenter as the seller. Poor warranty support not backing their own product. + Very heavy overall weight leads to great feel and the keyboard does not move at all. Gives everything an expensive and quality feel. Improves all aspects of use + The heavy gauge metal base plate is excellent and feels great. Very stable keeps vibration to a minimum. Has a premium feel and stays planted. + Solid switches without stem play or wobble. Very comfortable feel + Keyboard supports 3 Bluetooth devices, 2.4ghz wireless dongle, and USB-C cable + The lack of slop or rattle in the keys is remarkable. You can rest your fingers on all keys and spacebar without activation. This is a far cry from Gateron Red switches that you cannot rest our fingers on. Once these switces break in they will fall between Black and Yellow linear options. +Bluetooth connectivity is very simple and stable. You have 3 different hotkeys/slot for different devices. I notice zero perceptible latency or lag despite a fast rate of typing. -Besides all the lighting effects you can imagine you can also scroll through individual colors, this keyboard has top notch RGB capabilities, there is so much here, you will simply love it. Notable items: (()) The "red" switches are a much firmer keypress than Gateron or Cherry switches. I opted to change them to Gateron Pro 2.0 switches in Black for a slightly firmer much quiter experience, with pre-lubed switches. Sublime (()) The volume wheel button toggles between led brightness and volume (()) The left shift key is stiff from its stabilizer design and I compensated by leaving a red switch in this position with all the other switches in Gateron Black so its exactly the same now across all keys. (()) Media keys are membrance switches but they still feel ok and they are very useful (()) Floating key design great for cleaning under the keycaps and around all the switches (()) Package includes keycap and keyswitch pullers and 4 extra replacement switches Negatives: -No Mute option, there is no multimedia hot key for Mute and no apparent way to make it happen - (Wireless) Media keys do not always work when the media player window is not highlighted, if its a browser based event it generally always responds. If you are using a standalone video player you sometimes have to select the window. This is rectified if plugged in and in USB mode. - Less than stellar military stencil type keycap legends - less than optimal modern type. Sad to see this getting more popular. Old fonts are just fine, no need for everything to be different. Its not a problem. - Hard to read legends on the black keycaps. Difficult to see without backlight. Backlighting not great on top middle black keycaps. - (Wireless) Volume switch does not function without a keypress first after sleep mode. This is the biggest problem with this keyboard. I bought this unit specifically to have real time easy volue control. The control wheel does not wake the keyboard from sleep in Bluetooth or wireless mode. Having to push shift before using the wheel just ruins what could make this perfect. - (Wireless) When the keyboard sleeps your cursor disappears, this can be an irritation. I really like this keyboard, for the price it really cant be beat. The keycap legends and the sleep mode making the volume wheel unusable without waking the keyboard with a key stroke have taken away from perfection. The best feature of this board is by far the massive steel plate they have used that ground this thing like a boat anchor. It is part of the desk or table with zero chance of moving and it improves everything about the feel, vibration and typing experience. That part is second to none. Redragons own switches are smooth with no grit and they make them strong enough to avoid accidental key presses or having to hover your hands over the keys without touching them. I swapped them out with Gateron G Pro 2.0 Black switches. I have been forced to run it with a cable so it is constant on and does not go into sleep mode. The volume and the media keys are more functional and the backlight stays on all the time. The battery seems fairly robust in my short time using the board. After a few days of use it was still reading 100%. This is a very solid board especially for the sale price. ... show more

  • CANNOT program the G macro keys
No matter what we do, there is NO way to program the G keys across the top. Software = no Macro Record button = no! It is supposed to light up the keys to program them, but they never light up. Repaired drivers = no! there is no driver for it Manual = no! there is no manual for it!

  • Really nice set of features for a small budget gaming keyboard
This keyboard has features you don't see very often at this price and doesn't seem to have made many compromises to do it. I generally prefer to have an F-key row that can be accessed without the use of a function key and it seems like an odd choice to put the insert function on the ] key instead of the delete key, but it can be used wired, with a 2.4ghz dongle, or pair with up to 3 devices over Bluetooth and the omission of the F-key row makes room for it to include a volume roller, dedicated music control buttons and 4 macro keys in a very compact form factor. It's also nice that all of the features (even macros) are accessible from the keyboard itself without requiring any special software to be installed. Hotswap seems to be all in order and is a nice bonus feature that you don't often see at this price. Overall, I'd recommend this keyboard if you want to try a mechanical gaming keyboard, like the small form factor and don't mind losing a few dedicated keys to make room for the extra features. That's especially true if you also want a keyboard with hotswap, but the price compares well even to non-hotswap boards. ... show more

  • Very nice stock sound
I bought this keyboard and some switches and it beats the SteelSeries apex pro I had by miles. It does that all before the custom switches too this keyboard has to be the best for the amount it costs. The only downside is that it does not have very good rgb customization but I still found a preset I was very happy with. It feels very solid and quality built as well. ... show more

  • AMAZINGLY CHEAP GAMING MECHANICAL KEYBOARD
For its price is greatly cheap mechanical keyboard with its own customizable software and colors, volume scroll wheel, key picker, extra keys, stickers, wireless use, and usb c cable.

  • It looks great sounds nice and it's hotswap.
I love the feel of it and I like the 3 blue tooth options alongside the 2.4g connections and you can hotswap 5 pin switches. You can set macros there's also bright rgb with many configurations. Im absolutely loving this keyboard.
