I bought the entire bleach recovery system, this conditioner from redkin extreme line, and some leave in hair oils from OGX and Garnier Fructus. Look I'm not one to leave reviews normally, but when I tell you my hair was FRIED from going red to teal in one week... I mean it was FRIED. Like can't run your fingers through it, multiple breakage points in the hair shaft, rough and dry, always tangling and trying to dread, terrible! I've used the shampoo, lamellar water, and conditioner twice, and the leave in treatment came a bit later so I just used that one for the first time, along with the hair oils I mentioned. So I saw a lot of mixed reviews that said this is watered down and not real. Then some said it was the real deal. I decided to order it to up my hair game. I also purchased the smaller bottle of shampoo and the Redken One United. When it got delivered the cap was sealed so and I checked the batch number and it was still good. So yay! The consistency of the conditoner looks thick at first but then turns into liquid and not thick as some say its supposed to be. When I poured it into my hand it looked fine. But pressed it between my finger tips it vanished real fast into nothing. The first time I used it in conjuction with the shampoo my hair came out smoothish and shiny. My ends didn't feel as nourished as I thought they would be but then I thought maybe I didn't apply enough. As I kept using I noticed that my hair isn't as smooth anymore and my ends aren't nourished and are dry. I so used it with my Redken One United and still my ends were all dry, brittle, and easily knotted. Also my hair had a lot of stray aways -something I don't experience a lot. Note that I ran the conditioner all through my hair and I even left it in my hair in a bun in the shower for a decent amount of time. I missed the return window for the shampoo and conditioner but I will be ruturning the One United. So sad I was excited to up my hair game. I was pretty disappointed when I recieved my package. Thinking I was getting a regular size bottle I recieved sample bottles not even travel sized bottles! (Pay attention to the FL OZ) to avoid the same mistake. Which I feel it was misleading and made me to believe I was getting a standard size bottle. For $7 each for a sample size is not worth the money. Unless ur shampooing your hair in liquid gold!! This is why this review is for the seller!! Shame on you for making really good money off people selling your free samples! SMH ... show more

***** Review Update ***** I went over to my hair-dressed and casually mentioned to her that I'm really disappointed by this Redken ( Though I really liked the red one). Turnes out that Redken has discontinued the production of this one - YEARS ago, and because they are not producing it anymore, most of the products that are sold are way beyond their expiration date. Went over my bath to see what is on the button of my products. Total DISSAPOINTMENT. Now it totally makes sense why the products felt so bad. I feel like it really dissolves on the hair and is not thick enough. I feel like I need to use a ton of it because of it ... show more

Maybe intended for use with rest of Extreme line? My Japanese-straightened hair was smooth, soft, healthy when I used a cheaper conditioner (Hask Argan Oil, recommend) + one application of leave-in conditioner (Gliss Hair Repair!). Thought I would try this--now hair looks dry, damaged, and old, needs regular applications of keratin leave-in all over or even argan oil on ends between washes. If your damaged hair needs hydration, save money and get better value products that do more. ... show more

To be honest this is the only Redken product that I’ve ever felt “meh” about. I purchased this after reading all the wonderful reviews but somehow I feel like I got duped. First of all let me say that I LOVE Redken and use their products avidly so my hair and I are familiar with it. This product didn’t do anything for my hair. I have very fine brittle breaking damaged hair (that I’m trying to grow long) and I’ve been using this product for a couple weeks now and nothing. I honestly feel like I’m using dollar store conditioner, no joke. This is just bad. (For me at least) It feels very thin and watery- and I feel like I have to use A LOT to even get it worked into my hair (and I have thin hair). I’ve tried leaving it on for a few minutes before rinsing out and my hair still just doesn’t feel conditioned after. I don’t know what is wrong with this conditioner or my hair. I’ll continue to purchase Redken products but never this one again. So for me I’ll continue to use the volume boost products from Redken instead of this. I’m super disappointed this wasn’t the right product for me because I really wish I had nicer hair :( ... show more
