Honestly, this isn’t something that I would rep purchase on Amazon. Probably somewhere else for cheaper but the product is 100% definitely worth it. I haven’t had any problems with my heat protected not working. Typically I play it straight out of the shower because I know I will blow my hair out soon. It smells nice and it sprays properly. The media could not be loaded. I have always used the Redken Iron shape 11 spray and love it for the smell but the spray bottles have been having too many issues and as my hair thins, it’s a bit too heavy. I ordered the travel side bottle of this one to see how it compared. The price is ridiculous for the size. If you own the large bottle, just buy some 3 oz travel spray bottles and refill it because this is a joke. I wouldn’t even be able to get a long vacation out of the size. Product itself is fine. The smell is nothing like the other but it’s pleasant. It is lighter on the hair. I used it on dry hair as a straightener and my hair didn’t weigh down. But I didn’t realize what it would do to the floor. I used it and a few hours later went to the sink and slipped! The floor became an instant ice rink. Definitely lay towels down and I would never use this in the shower. I suppose this means you are adding a layer of some major protectant to your hair. I want to buy the large bottle but not sure if I want to deal with the floor cleaning and the price hasn’t convinced me there aren’t better options out there. ... show more

This is the most perfect leave-in conditioner and most perfect heat protectant. Other products seem to weight my hair down or make it feel gross if too much product is applied. Not this magic spray. Even if I overdo it, it never makes my hair feel heavy; it always feels slick and light and perfect. I make an effort to throughly get my ends and lower half of my hair, and my stylist never needs to give me more than a slight trim, and even then she never sees breakage. Does a nice job when using with other Redken styling products. I have color treated hair and love how the product brings out the undertones in my hair Not greasy or sticky. I apply 3 or 4 spritzes of it, work through my hair with fingertips then comb through. I finish with other Redken Styling products. I recommend. Yes, it’s pricey but a little goes a long way.
