I bought the non collapsible version as I was concerned warping would occur and it wouldn't compact, so only the legs fold but that works just fine for car camping. I've had this for 5 years now, and while it has started to warp a bit, it has been fantastic, and I would buy it again. Just got back from a week camping and it got used at least twice a day and I decided I needed to come give it a shout out. It's the perfect size for a modest fire, large enough to get two or even 3 small items onto it. Perfect size for cooking for 1-4 people, if you're doing more than that you'll need more than one though. The only thing I would have liked is a carry bag for it, which is only offered for the collapsing unit, because it is going to get all sooty. For now I'm just using a large plastic grocery bag to store it in, but I might consider getting the folding one whenever this one goes out JUST for the carrying case. Great value for the money, easy to use, not too heavy, I love it and I cook over the fire almost exclusively now that I've got enough cast iron, my propane stove almost never gets used camping anymore. ... show more
