TLDR: Redback asked me to not give a negative product review, and in exchange would send me free products. Both lawn mower and weed eater were defective and the weed eater was a major safety hazard. Item arrived. Followed the minimal instructions on the manual. Item never worked. Redback has no phone numbers, contact etc on their site when Googled it. I used the listed “contact us” option and my email was returned “undeliverable.” After several days of this Amazon made it right. Amazon refunded my money & apologized that one of their sellers, Redback, was so difficult to contact about a defective item. Amazon even made it so UPS would come pick the item up via me having to lug a giant box off to UPS to return. After Amazon made it right. Rachel from Redback sent an email. The email was to set up a phone call time to troubleshoot the item. By this time the item was already gone and refunded. Now that was just for the lawnmower. I additionally purchased the cordless weed eater and leaf blower. I liked that all 3 units were more compact, light weight , & ran on the same battery. Redback cordless weed eater was easy to assemble and I followed the manual instructions. Upon first use, I was about 10 min into use, the battery self ejected from the top of the weed eater. Thinking I didn’t fully “click” it in, I re inserted the battery. Began using for the other side of my yard. This is the stringless option and uses small blue “blades”. This was a feature that appealed to me. A few minutes in, one of the blades flew off of the unit. It had melted at the base that holds it onto the unit, melted and flew off. Being a bit more annoyed, replaced with a new blade. Now we were good to go and keep edging my yard…But wait, there is more. A collective 15-ish min into total use, the weed eater FELL APART. The bottom 1/3 of the unit detached from the top where I was holding the handles. This now became a HUGE safety issue! There was no fail safe to auto stop the now free swinging power head with 2 blades attached to immediately stop. I immediately took my hand off the trigger and the unit continued to freely swing like a mid evil torture device for another 5-7 seconds. This could have been worse. No one was actually injured, but easily could have been a bad situation needing medical attention quickly. So next, I went back to the email from Rachel @ Redback and updated that yet another product was defective. Next call was to Amazon customer service. They could see the issue with the lawn mower from the same company. I send them a video I took (safely) to show how the product came apart, while in use, thru no user error, & didn’t immediately stop running. Amazon refunded my money. They also asked me to dispose of the product as sending back would be useless since the item is a safety hazard. At that point I was satisfied. Until…. A call from the seller came in last night. (Amazon had already made it right and my money returned) Redback called and first apologized. Asked how to make it right. Told them Amazon has fixed the situation & money returned. At this point the Redback rep began to almost accuse me of not knowing how to use a weed eater. The Redback rep began to question if I was using the item improperly. I informed the Redback rep that I am a gardener & have years of experience using lawn & garden equipment. When I told him there was nothing more I desired that’s when the conversation shifts. The Redback rep asked if they could SEND ME FREE PRODUCTS AS LONG AS I DONT WRITE A NEGATIVE REVIEW!?! Are you kidding me? The call came in at 8:04 on a Monday night, from a “scam likely”phone number with an LA area code. The call was 12 minutes. The gentleman asked me to email him at: Info.swift garden.com with my address so they could send free product. I was so angry that is what he flat out was asking me to do. I read through (sometimes) hundreds of reviews on products I am interested in. I called Amazon customer service and let them know the information and that one of their sellers is asking to give false reviews in exchange for “free products.” Amazon was very interested in the information & noted they are looking into the situation. The assembly was a problem as the directions are vague, the print and illustrations are very tiny, I initially put the handles on backwards and had to go online to find photos to get it right! I just used it for the first time today .I love it! It's exactly what I need for my small yard. Although the fist cut in spring is usually hard because I have a "jungle" to cut, this little mower is mighty! In some spots over 14 inches high! I 💕 Love the light weight and maneuverability making it easy to use! Best purchase I ever made! ... show more

Had a charger that was DOA. Contacted customer support and they were amazing to work with. I emailed them fairly late in the afternoon and 2 days later had a replacement. Love the mower, it's light, easy to operate, and plenty powerful. Again, can't stress enough how great customer service was. Edit: apparently I wrote too soon. It turned out it was the charger that was bad. I've been trying for weeks to get a replacement. Once they had their good review all communication stopped. We'll see if a 1 star review will get me any help. After months of trying to get a replacement charger one became in stock to buy. On second use the screws holding the handle on stripped the plastic smooth and it's now unusable and cannot be returned. Horrible product and wasted money. ... show more

The assembly instructions were a bit confusing and vague, but if you look at the pictures you can follow along okay. I charged the battery the day before and it only took an hour or so to be fully charged. Once I got mowing, I set it on the second highest height setting because I was scared to chop off too much grass. My grass was super long and this thing cut through it like nothing! The setting it was on also left enough height on the grass so it’s not too short. It wasn’t hard to push or operate at all. My backyard is about 1500 square feet and it took me about an hour. I took breaks because it was HOT outside (even though it was 10:30am here) or it would’ve taken less time. Once I was done the battery still had 3/4 lights on, so plenty of charge to mow a couple more times before I need to charge it again. Being my first lawnmower it made it easy and I would recommend it to anyone that needs something simple, easy, and relatively small! ... show more

This lawnmower really surprised me. It is so light weight that I didn't think it would be able to do a good job. But it does! I have some uneven areas that are rough to cut. This is a great mower that gets the job done. The 40v battery ensures it can cut through the tall, wet grass as well. I was impressed at how it did not stall or slow when cutting some of the heavier grass in my yard. Go with the battery two-pack option for sure. I can get my lawn cut on a single battery--barely. My only "complaint" is that learning how to start the darn thing was not very clear, and understanding the charger was a little convoluted, but otherwise, I am very happy with this purchase. Although I found the instructions to be vague, this mower was easy to assemble. There was one piece in the box for which there was no picture or instruction in the booklet, and I couldn’t find a location to plug it in. The mower is very simple to start and cuts quite well. Because it is so lightweight, it maneuvers easily. The battery lasts a little over 30 minutes and does take about 4 hours to recharge, so I will be purchasing another. The mower is primarily made of plastic, but seems quite durable. I have a large area to mow so it will take a day or two, but it is not a problem with this machine. ... show more
