This Redants 2000lb trailer hub set was perfect for my jon boat trailer rebuild project. I picked up an old jon boat trailer off Facebook Marketplace with plans to convert it into a kayak/skiff trailer, and one of the first things I noticed after getting it home was grease all over the backside of one wheel. Classic bad bearing situation. Once I pulled everything apart, it was obvious the original hubs were ancient and not worth trying to save. I checked local big box stores for replacements, but they wanted around $70 per hub, which felt way overpriced for an older utility trailer rebuild. I found this set on Amazon at a much more reasonable price, and I was pleasantly surprised that everything needed for installation was included right in the box. Even better, the hubs came pre-greased, which saved a bunch of prep time and mess. After cleaning and greasing the spindles, the new hubs slid right on in seconds. The installation was incredibly straightforward, and I had both wheels back together and rolling again within minutes. For anyone rebuilding or refreshing an older small trailer, this kit is an excellent value and made the repair process quick and painless. 5 stars.

Whoever combined the hubs with the bag of supporting hardware threw in the wrong bag. The axle nuts and washers were for one and a quarter inch axles maybe - they were definitely too large for my one inch axles. Look at the picture. That's the reason for the two stars. The hubs themselves were decent. I have never bought preassembled hubs and I found this to be stupid easy. Take them out of the box and slide them onto the clean/prepped axle. I did have to use the nut/washer to completely seat the both bearings into their raceways. (Note: at first glance I thought they had installed the bearings backwards on the inside but that was not the case - they were correct.) I cannot speak to how durable they may be because they were just installed a day ago. The quality sure looks good. And the price is really good too. They would have got five stars if only the right size nuts and washers were included. I know I have the old nuts and washers but one washer was a little big and both nuts were a little rusty and beat up from years of abuse. New ones would have been good. I paid for new ones and didn't get the right ones. Last thing I can mention is the dust caps. At first, they refused to go on. But it was me not willing to really whack them with the rubber mallet. Once I realized they needed real persuasion - they went right it. Be sure to use a rubber headed mallet so you don't dent the caps. I like the spare rubber grommets, too. I would recommend these. Just keep a hold of the old nuts and washers if applicable to your job.

Only put about 10 miles on since I installed these. Had to use old parts to make work. Castle nut is to thick so had to use old. Flat washer to thick so had to use old.
