I used this circuit breaker on a '86 Camaro to replace a 60 amp fuse that did not blow, but just got stinking hot and made a lot of smoke. There was no apparent reason for the meltdown. I was reluctant to replace the fuse and holder for fear that the same thing would happen, so I tried this circuit breaker. Easy to install. Trip-test works fine. No issues since I placed into service 3 weeks ago. I can't say anything about the waterproof ability as it is high and dry on top of the battery in a car. Seems to work fine.

The media could not be loaded. Edit: Redwolf contacted me back and apologized about the whole situation and offered to refund the 60 amp breaker that is not working properly. This was an acceptable outcome for me and I’m happy with the customer service. I just had to knock one star down though because it took me writing this review to get help from them. At the end of the day they stuck by their product and provided a favorable outcome for both parties. Original review: Try a different brand or oversize your breaker. But that kind of defeats the purpose of the breaker. 60 Amp breaker is breaking at 50 amps. I contacted the seller and the seller pretty much told me it was out of Amazon return window so they can’t offer a refund. They offered to replace it but if it’s breaking at 50 amps then it’s useless. I purchased a 100 amp breaker from Red Wolf because I thought my charge controller was pushing 60 Amps. It’s not, it’s only pushing 50 and it trips. I asked the seller if instead of sending me a new 60 amp breaker (it’s the same price as the 100 amp breaker) that if they could refund me for the 100 amp breaker and I’ll just keep that one. Instead they came back and said no refund because it’s out of Amazon return period. There’s no warranty with these units especially if they’re faulty. I would pass and try a different brand.

Breaker was easy to install. I wish it had a bigger rubber caps to protect the terminals from accidental contact. It solved the problem of my trolling motor wire getting hot and kicking the motor in and out.
