This is a great set of smaller skeins of yarn. It is kind of like a sample set, but the skeins really aren’t extremely small and one skein would probably make at least two smaller projects. I have several smaller projects I want to work on and liked the idea of just having a bunch of different colors to pull from without having to commit to full size skeins. These are a perfect way to check out the colors. I am so happy with this set, that I am actually going to go back and purchase the “brights” set when I am done with this review. I laughed out loud when I opened this package and found the teeny tiny skeins of yarn! So cute! The bigger irony is the closet full of yarn I already own, which really made me laugh! What was I thinking? Why did I order this? And, bigger question, why didn't I notice the ounces of the skeins included? Clearly I was dazzled by the colors! Which is another reason for the closet full.... Aside from my personal issues, this is very nicely packaged and would make a perfect gift for a beginning crocheter, or someone who needs or wants a great and challenging hobby. There's enough included to complete something small, and some ideas. Great for granny squares. Red Heart yarn is my go-to favorite and I'm glad to see they offer this gift package.
