    • Beading sizes not consistent and too small / large

I bought three different sizes to replace all four of the toppers on our Montana. On two of them, the smaller bead was very tight in the roller track and the larger bead was too loose in the track on the side of the RV. I had to close the opening in the track by about 1/8" to prevent the bead from pulling out of the track. The third one. which I used to make two smaller toppers had only one size of bead - i.e. the same larger size at both sides. It was still too small for the track on the trailer, but the other side was way too big for the track in the roller. On one of them, I was able to remove the bead from the old topper and it worked just fine. Unfortunately, the smaller bead in the other old topper was bonded onto the topper fabric and I couldn't remove it. I ended up making a bead from irrigation tubing with 12 gauge wire threaded inside and, in the end it was OK. I think that, at the very least, the supplier should include the diameters of the beading (including the fabric wrapped around it) to allow future customers to check this before they buy.     • This DOES NOT fit any A&E slide cover roller tube. Beads are too wide. Crappy QC and worse CS
The company can't even tell you what the bead size is on the product. The bead/fabric width is 1/32nd wider than it should be, I mic'd it. CS was arrogant, told me neither their website or Amazon's stated it would fit an A&E. But it doesn't say their product will fit ANY awning tube, therefore it fits nothing? And they admitted that they have no way of determining WHAT it will fit. Really? This DOES NOT fit any A&E slide cover roller tube. The beads are too wide. The company has crappy QC and worse CS I spent an extra $4 to buy through Amazon, at least I don't have to pay $20 to ship this junk back. ... show more
