I got this as a replacement tank for my food truck. The fresh water tank that came with the truck leaked at a side seam if it was filled more than 3/4 full, so I wanted to make sure this replacement tank didn't have that problem. I decided set the tank on end (vertically, with the ports up) and fill it with water. This puts much more stress on the tank that it ever would experience in normal use. (I filled it with over-chlorinated water from my pool, which sanitizes it at the same time.) It held up beautifully! The sides bulged due to the weight of the water, which I expected (see photo), but the seams did not leak and the plastic did not crack. I held the water in the tank for about 10 minutes before emptying it. I'm quite pleased with the quality of these tanks.

These are nice water tanks. Not the sizes as advertised. I purchased the 30 gallon and 42 gallon set for my food truck. That’s the minimum required by my health department for my sinks. Got everything all plumbed using grommets for the drain lines to connect to pvc. Go in for my inspection with the health department and these tanks are 2 gallons short each. Making it a 28 gallon and a 40 gallon. Almost didn’t get my permit and almost had to redo all my drain lines and grommets. Thankfully my health department inspector was very nice and we still managed to get approved. Double check the measurements when you receive these if you are planning on using for a food truck. Or get a bigger size to be safe.
