I don't have a wild stereo system nor do I know much about them but noticed my 6.5" speakers were getting more bass sent to them than I wanted no matter how much I used the deck to adjust the EQ. Since I don't have a stand-alone EQ I decided to go this route knowing it was inexpensive. It seemed to have removed enough bass that my 6.5" speakers are alot more clear sounding that before and the bass is being felt thru the subs like it should. I listen to bass heavy music and was worried about blowing the 3.5 inch speakers. These blockers did the trick. Now there are no low frequencies coming to the speakers.

Even though I had new, decent quality, speakers, they would still get farty when I added any bass since my stereo has no crossover or way to separate the signals going to various speakers. These bass blockers work perfectly for my 3.5 dash speakers. I thought about DIYing my own high pass filters, but for $8...why bother? ... show more

I have a pair of these on a set of Dayton Audio 3/4 tweets in my rear doors, wired in sequence with a pair of Cerwin Vega 6.5's for mid-lows, and they make a huge difference. With the seat back a bit, I get nice, clear, clean highs that give great definition for cymbals, snare hits, etc, with no distortion just behind my head, and the midbass just below that.
