So there are so many brands that are mostly unknown and in the same price range for a reciprocating saw on the site to choose from it can become a bit overwhelming. So what do I think of this tool? So far I have done some branch cutting with it and it has worked perfectly fine and is perfectly functional for the task. It has an easy to install and change blade chuck that you simply twist while putting it in and letting it go to secure, very fast. This comes with two 2.0 ah batteries that you can get about a half hr out of imo with both charged. The tool itself is comfortable and doesn't get to hot when in constant use. It also seems to have plenty of power for branches anywhere from 2 inches or thinner. For the price I think it is a good deal. The case it comes with is decent although the spare blades will go everywhere if you put the case upright or upside down, the batteries, charger, and tool are secure inside though. Again, I take into account the price and what to expect with that, so I cant speak of longevity but I tend to not give that to much credence with the price. The one standout negative I do want to mention is I think the instruction manual is the worst translated to english I have ever had the pleasure to read. I say pleasure because I found myself laughing many times at how bad it is....so if you are completely new to this type of tool, you may wanna google how to use it because the book it comes with is absolutely worthless. Still, the tool works, its easy to use and is cheap.

With the trees mostly bare of leaves, it was time to do some pruning of the plants & trees around the yard. Both batteries were charged fully the evening before and it took less than 4 hours for both. However, I don't know how much charge were initially in the batteries. For safety, I installed the blade before installing the battery and it was an easy task - turn the spring-loaded chuck, insert the blade and release the chuck. The saw has plenty of power to cut through branches - some branch stumps are around 1-1/4" in diameter. The good thing is that the saw is lightweight and I could use 1 hand to do the cutting while on an 8-ft step ladder. Since the saw was used intermittently, not sure how to quantify battery life - it was adequate for my purpose and allow my to complete winter trimming in a day. Since it come with a case, storing the saw is no issue. I use a small pouch to hold the blades in side the case. The 1 downside of battery operated tool: having to member to charge the batteries before needing to use the saw. There are instances when I suddenly need to use a tool and find a weak tool battery.

This is perfect for my purposes, which involve cutting down small saplings, trimming a few branches, etc. The blades aren't the best, but I love the ease of use of this tool. It is relatively lightweight, and having two batteries is great. If you have a lot of trimming to do, one can be charging while you work with the other. I find it to be one of the most functional tools in my tool shed.

a slightly different form-factor than what i'm used to but does the job all the same. includes batteries and even an assortment of blades to use on whatever projects! these tools are getting shockingly affordable! these with the wood blade is soo nice to trim shrubs and small trees around the parimitor of the fence and yard!
