After TWO of them stop working and you shake them and literally HEAR water sloshing around inside the thermometer, you get a pretty good understanding why you won’t again replace this with the same item. Have you ever felt foolish after sticking money in a vending machine again after it didn’t give you the item the first time you put money in? That’s the feeling I got after buying this thermometer the second time. Please avoid my repeated mistake and look elsewhere.

I love this product. I can see, without having to go to the pool to check, what the water temp is. It also shows the temp and humidity in the area where you put the display (mine is in my house) The battery lasts a long time (couple of months) before needing to be recharged. Very nice gadget to have if you have a pool.

Purchased one year ago. Lasted over last summer heatwave (110 degrees +) here in Apache Junction, Arizona. Left in pool over the winter. Works great. Only had to recharge once this winter. Recommend using a silicone pool grease on the charging port.

Out of the box, it was easy to setup. Put the thermometer and the station next to each other, turn them on and boom. Done. After a few days, the thermometer appeared run out of battery. There was fog on the top display of the thermometer and it refused to charge for a full day. I’m assuming it’s because water got inside because of the silicon flap being the only protection for the USB port. After allowing it to dry for a day, it finally started charging and charged fairly quickly. I dropped it back into the pool with a full battery and after 4 hours, it no longer displays anything on the screen nor sends any signal to the base station. For the money, I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised and I kind of expected it when I saw the limited protection from the silicon flap over the USB port. Don’t waste your money being fooled by the base station and ability to just “set it and forget it.” You’ll be like me and searching Amazon for a replacement device after only a few days.

I had doubts about this as our pool is a good distance from our upper level living area where the monitor sits. We use a heater for our pool when necessary. This helps me to know if I need to heat the pool in advance without having to go outside to test it every time. Fantastic product. 100% accurate as I’ve tested it against the pool heater reading. Spot on. Easy set up too. Great invention.

I bought this last summer and after charging has work great until last week. Throughout the entire time I think I charged it twice, so battery life was great. Now when I plug it in to charge, display comes and after a few minutes goes blank. Can I change the batteries or is unit done.

This is an excellent wireless pool thermometer. Much better than some of the competitors with a similar design, that have the screw on lid with batteries (spoiler alert: They leak alot!!). This is one is rechargeable with a USB-C. I haven't had to charge it ALL season. NO screw top lid and its one solid unit, so NO leaks or water in the readout to make it foggy. Crystal clear. Wireless signal has good range, mine is 50 feet from the unit and has no issues. Highly recommend this unit.
