    • Works great, could use two small improvements

Firstly, I really like this product. If you want to measure airflow, this is a great tool, and worth the money. I use it for dryer vent cleaning and when replacing dryer ducts. There are two improvements I would recommend (both of which I work-around, today): 1) The font on the "units" is really small. I need to really squint to make sure I have the proper units. If your eyes are better than mine, you probably won't have this problem. 2) I am often holding this over my head, or under a deck, or some other place where it is hard to see. It does have Average and Min/Max modes, but I prefer to see the reading, and see how it is increasing/decreasing. Ideally, this would have a display that is angled, so it can be read when the screen is not directly facing the user. Again, the product is good and worth purchasing. When (if) they come out with a v2.0 that includes these features, I will buy it again! ... show more

I bought this anemometer to measure wind speeds when working outdoors with a drone. also, since I work in work site inspections, it has also been useful to verify air flow speeds when I perform inspections of HVAC systems. It is a good value for money.

I've always wanted one of these for my sailing days but when I was replacing my HVAC ductwork, it was the perfect excuse to push me over the edge. Very accurate (I took multiple readings), simple, easy to use. I was able to measure exactly how much benefit the new ducts provided vs old, which made the price of ducts a lot easier to swallow. The anemometer works fine and seems to be of decent quality for the price. No problems there. But the app isn't in the Play Store as claimed (search it for yourself and see). The claim that it is there when it isn't makes me suspect the Store removed it for some reason. There is a QR code to download the apk which is always a bit sus. I uploaded the apk to VirusTotal. It has not been detected by any vendors, which might be a good sign. It was first submitted only 2 months ago (7-23), so maybe no one has gotten to it yet. Current hash: SHA-256 1c0b811478aca7b48f789ac274a6017be7aa08367147569154b7928fa010712d In addition to the items listed as being included in the box, there is also a USB cable. And there is a USB port on the back of the device above the battery compartment. However, there is no mention of it in any of the documentation. What's the USB for? Is it power supply?
