This is a great idea and my cat absolutely loves it. I’ve purchased several of these in the last couple of months for other cats. On one of them that I purchased back in December, it only worked for about a month and then it died. But I’ve had others that obviously lasted much longer. I thought because I had ordered it so long ago.(Over 6 months), and I didn’t have the box anymore that it was a loss and I couldn’t get it replaced. I ordered another one and noticed on the box that there is a free exchange within one year of purchase. I I emailed them. They got back with me within a day and replaced it for free. They were very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this toy for any bored kitty or a cat that spends a lot of time alone. These little machines will definitely help keep kitties entertained.

I wasn't sure if it was a good idea to buy this or not. So many out there selling garbage to make a buck. Honestly in my opinion this product really is pretty decent. My cat loves it. I love that it helps entertain him while I'm at work so it's not so bad for him. It's affordable, easy to charge using a standard C cable. Takes charge after charge. Grabs the pets attention. Now the only bad thing I really have to say about it. I've had mine a little while now. Multiple uses and charges. The battery really could have been bigger or better quality. It still charges, however the life span between charges was low at first use. Not to bad, I'd say 1 time every 4 days. Now it's every other day charging. It's really a shame. It really is a great product. If the battery issue was addressed it would be selling like crazy. I myself would like to have a total of 3 and 2 I'd like for friends but I don't want to deal with charging 3 constantly. Mine may be defective. If you want 1, it's good. As for me I'm going to search for something with a longer battery life. NOW, 2 years later. I still have it. I can't believe it. If not for the battery it's amazing. I have a hack for all of you. I bought a long usb c wire . I leave it always plugged in, lol. Due to the fact it turns itself off and on and always on charge, it never dies and you never have to do it manually. I've plugged it in 2yrs ago when I first stated about the battery. My wire is long enough that I have this product high on a shelf. I hope this is of help. Thank you.

My brother and I have two cats they are siblings! We adopted them after their owner, had to move and couldn’t take them! My brother and I are both older and the male cat just seems like he’s highly moving and he’s gaining a lot of weight! His sister, of course is the same age and she’s like half his size because she moves around and he does not! So I’ve been looking online at Amazon at different things to entertain the cats! And I did see products that were similar to this one to help get your cats moving and having fun! But the reviews were not good! So kind of gave up and then I went back and started looking again because the male cat is just getting worse and worse! So I read a review on one of them that I had read before and they said that they have changed them some things to make it better and they explained it! But What really got me was reading a review from women who had had another one in the past and now she tried this one! And they do say on the product and this consumer said yeah, they recently improved it! Well, this user settled this in her review and I decided to try one! And they even offer you a good deal if you don’t like it because they have improved it so much that they know people are gonna like it! Well, our big cat Was getting so lazy so he laid there without doing too much when it was on, but he did a little bit and I was happy about that but his sister was all over the place that light! And within a couple days Max started Playing with it more and more! So I think it was about a week after we got it. He actually found Amazon box. I hadn’t put away yet. It’s a pretty big box. He actually got in that box not just once but several times & he goes after the light! Not as much as his sister does, but he still does and he still now moving a lot more! It might be a little over a week now I’m not sure but I think that amount of time that’s pretty good progress! And I think he’ll be losing weight and hopefully getting a lot more healthy because he still likes that light! And he’s just a lot more active! It has been making me cry, happy tears because I didn’t want him to die from not moving enough! I just praise that lady that caves that good review and it is so true! And you can even plug it in and not use batteries. I haven’t used one battery in it. We just plug it in and charge it or you could leave it plugged in all the time, I think! Do whatever is safest, but this will really help your kitties getting better shape or stay in better shape!

This is the best stand alone auto laser I have seen and purchased no doubt. IT does come with some issues however. I have purchased two of these. One is flawless aside from the listed issues below. The other came with a wire inside right down the middle of where the laser will shine. This leaves a pretty large "blind" spot where the laser hits the wire and you cant see it on the floor. Probably made in china. The battery life is just ridiculous. This thing is supposed to be automatic and sit on a table and sorta be care free. You will be charging this every 3 days at least if you leave it on and simply rely on the motion detection. Motion detection... I'm not sure how this is supposed to work with cats. If you ahve it on the floor then fine it will pick up the cat and be good. The reality is, you will likely put this up on a table to shine down on the floor to get a better motion and run space for the animal. That being said, unless your cat is the size of a small car, this thing doesn't work well with the motion detection. My cats are two maine coons by the way. THe largest breed of cat on the planet. They don't set this off if it's looking down at them from a table. - I do set it off when I walk by though. Maybe just a motion detection aiming issue. Laser is strong and good and bright. Love the ability to change the speed. My favorite thing about this is how silent they are. You can almost not even hear this thing at all. You can hear the vibration of hte motor through the table and that's about it.

Our two cats loved it. The motion sensor would be set off when we would be behind the unit (it was next to staircase). After 7 months the laser got off track inside the unit so it is only visible for a few seconds when it turns on then it moves and no longer is visible on the floor. Sent message to seller, will see if I hear anything. Edit - Seller got back to me quickly and said they would send me another unit. Couple days later got the new one and the cats are happy again. So I took the old one apart to see what might be the issue, the laser is on a disk that spins around via a small motor, only issue I can see is that the wires that go from the circuit board to the laser were not routed correctly and actually passed in front of the laser, which would then block the laser from getting out of the unit. Had the wire been routed around the back of the laser instead of in front of it, this problem would have been avoided. Since there are quite a few reviews about this not working after in less than a year, I'm sure they are all connect the same way inside, there is only 1 screw to remove. But was not easy to pry open once the screw was taken out, soft tap from a rubber mallet popped it right open, with no damage. Now I have two lasers. More is always better, HA HA

Magpie absolutely loves this. It gives me a break from her wanting attention every minute she's awake. She hates when it has to go on the charger. It's given her an outlet for play that doesn't involve a human. It's great when she sits and just watches, too!

Updated review for "Rechargeable Motion Activated Cat Laser Toy Automatic." Have used the new one for a little while and not seeing signs of breaking. Wire management is still shoddy, but it does work. The wire passes over the laser while it rotates, but it's only obscured briefly. The seller was extremely quick at sending me the new one, which was really nice. If you've never bought an auto laser for your cat and want to try it out, this is the perfect choice. By the time it breaks, you'll likely know if you want to buy a better one or if you're better off with something else. Right now it's $17 on sale and $25 normally. ------- Edit: the seller is sending me a new one, so I'll be sure to re-review it once I've got it in-hand. I got it on sale, so it was great for the price. The motion detection seems a bit iffy, but overall my cat loved it. I typically would turn it on and off specifically for my cat just so the battery would last and she wouldn't get tired of it quickly. It definitely sold me on having an auto laser toy for my cat. Then the laser started getting really spotty and eventually stopped working entirely. It didn't take very long, maybe a couple months. If that's generally how long it lasts, it's probably only worth it to see if your cat does or does not like laser toys. Me being a DIY person, I pried it open and noticed the wires had come out of their seating. I reseated the wires, and it worked just a little bit longer. Next time it stopped working, I pried it open again and the wires had fully broken. Maybe I got a bad one, but it's really unfortunate that it just broke internally like that when it shouldn't have had any reason to. Am happy to re-review if they want to send me another one, but I don't know that I'd go with them for my next one otherwise.
