If you have a dog that destroys standard toys in minutes, this one is definitely worth considering. The natural rubber is incredibly tough and has held up remarkably well against some serious aggressive chewing. It’s solid, well-made, and stands up to its claims of durability for medium and large breeds. That being said, I do have a couple of minor critiques. The built-in squeaker is a bit hit-or-miss and doesn't always work when my dog bites down on it. Additionally, I really wish it was available in a few different color options just to change things up. Overall, it’s an excellent, durable chew toy that actually lasts. If you're mostly looking for toughness and durability, this is a great pick—just don't expect a perfectly consistent squeak every time. Our 2 year old, 44lb beagle mix loves this toy. It keeps her busy as a tug/toss toy as well as a chew toy. She has been able to chew off the small nodules on the sides but otherwise a very durable toy. She is barely strong enough to bite it tight to make it squeak, but she enjoys it all the same.

I had high hopes for this toy, I was so excited about it. I have aggressive chewers, two Malinois/Dutch Shepard mixes and a Pit. The Shepard's chewed pieces off of it in literally 5 minutes. At the ends there is a small lip and that's where they started chewing pieces off. I had ordered a second one before I gave them this one (early Christmas present) because when I received it I noticed it felt very sturdy and durable. They do like it so since they already chewed this one I'm going to see if I can shave that lip off and maybe they won't get anymore pieces off. That'll decide if I return the one that arrives tomorrow. Maybe not good for super aggressive chewers. It's very thick and seems well made. Might just be better for other dogs. ... show more

I ordered this squeaky toy on a recommendation from a friend with a dachshund. I had very low expectations because my 1 year old labrador retriever has never met a toy he couldn't destroy within 5 minutes, particularly squeaky toys which he loves. This oddly shaped squeak toy is unlike any we've had before (and I've had a lot of dogs). It is a very heavy duty, solid rubber, even more than a kong, it has ridges that make it easy to grasp but they're not so tiny my nibbler can pick them off. We've only had it for a few days but I'm not finding pieces of it anywhere and he spends long periods of time trying to figure out how to "get the squeaker out". He is perplexed and I can't love that enough. I will definitely be buying more of these. It is a nice size for larger breeds but more importantly, if you have an aggressive chewer who rips every toy apart trying to get at the squeaker this toy will work for you. ... show more
