Well made, did make me go down a code rabit-hole because an inspector mentioned the "extra duty" requirement, turns out that's been altered to only be specifically for flush mounts with "bubble covers" and that other devices (such as this one) can be used and still be code compliant. A well-known manufacturer for these is Arlington (if you need to go down that rabbit hole like I did). So, the boxes are plastic, thick enough to not deform or crack despite squeezing as hard as possible. Includes a swappable cover that can be painted over which is awesome. Two holes are available for cable passthrough, not massive but big enough to handle an average-sized extension cord in each one. It does take approximately 4" of depth to install, but assuming you'd have sheathing and some sort of siding, this would still fit even with 2x4 studs (although would essentially eliminate insulation in that area, so would look to also get an acoustical putty pad to wrap the box, plus a gasket for faceplate to try and limit penetrations. Whats really nice is the 7-hole box, giving tons of entryway options for the box regardless of placement and orientation, plus it includes a push-in cable connector for passing romex through securely.

The low-profile design is perfect for those that are looking for an outlet that doesn’t protrude out much. It sits nearly flush against the siding/wall, providing a clean and professional look. Much better than the dome cover style outlet boxes. The weatherproofing feature helps to protect the electrical outlet from the elements, which is crucial for outdoor installations. The outlet box comes with two covers, one clear and one white that can be painted. Giving you the flexibility to choose the best match for your installation. The vertical, 1-gang configuration is ideal for most standard electrical outlets. The installation process was straightforward. As long as you take into consideration the internal size of the recessed outlet box. Instructions were clear, and all necessary hardware was included.

Got this for my electrician for a gut-rehab. Unfortunately he pointed out certain IPC 2019 code dimension and connection requirements that won't fit this box for exterior outlets. The code is applicable in major metro areas in the Midwest and East Coast, although most major cities are slowly adapting this code as well. So it's a real hit or miss on whether this works for you. We're still going to use it as an inconsequential outlet for a detached garage, but unlikely for the main building.

For sure it is waterproof and weather-resistant. The plastic casing quality is good, also the lid cover, not the best but it is made of better materials. comes with everything you need to start a new project.
