  • A+ EASY install
My Dell 8900 had it's ethernet port die. I looked at new computers, but thought I'd try this adapter. It works GREAT! All I did was plug it into an empty slot, turned on my Win 10 machine, and had an internet connection. No driver install, nothing. Just plug and play!

  • Old Dell upgraded
Older Dell Insperon 545 desktop had 100mb network card. l had tried another 1gbps card, but it wouldn't install. This one has the realteck chipset (same as original card) so it works! Now speedtest 400mbps!

  • Works fine, but bracket is flimsy and misaligned
My onboard LAN port quit working and I bought this to replace it. I'm with the other reviwer who noted that it can be caused to disconnect from the motherboard due to the flimsy/warped bracket. I bent the bracket slightly to improve alignment to the PCIe slot, and removed the plastic bar in my case that holds the cards in place. I used screws to attach my cards instead, and it is nice and firm now. This is compatible with Windows 7 x64 and drivers are readily available online if you have another computer that you can access the internet with. Also note that the status LEDs are mounted directly to the board and there are peep holes in the steel bracket that the light shines through, sort of. The lights are hard to see unless you're looking at the back of your computer straight on, but it's not really a problem for me. I would buy this again, especially at the cheap price. ... show more

  • Plug and play at a great price
I've been using Realtech for decades and they haven't let me down yet, so I picked up this NIC for an old Win 8.1 system. I was anticipating having to mess with drivers, but plug and play. Just put it in and booted up and it was on-line.

  • it will work, but it has caveats
For this card its download speed is just perfect however its upload speed has little to be desired. Now if you use cable internet this card is perfect. If you have fiber or for any purpose such as Live streaming it is not your best choice

  • Easy Installation with W10
Was having a slow ethernet connection despite a great signal from my router. Popped this in, fired up the computer and Windows recognized the adapter in Device Manager. Driver installed automatically. Plugged in ethernet cable and ran a speed test with a 4 fold improvement in speed, to 126 Mbps. Awesome improvement for under $20. ... show more
