Marvelous product. Because of Arizona water concerns, I installed 3 grass rugs. They look great. My dogs are intrigued with them. All three grass carpets are in the shade thanks to three pop-ups. 115°-122° temperatures are ahead. I doubt 4 months of sizzling summer sun would keep each carpet from disintegrating. They are great value for my money and really look great. I anchored the carpets with great hardware from Amazon. I'm pleased and recommend this product.

I did like the grass at first. It was soft, looked real and my kids were happy playing on it. I only have 2 problems with it. 1) The grass would not stand up on its own despite being told that infill was not needed. Infill is needed but my kids still liked it and I didn't want to spend another $150 - $200 to use the recommended type and quantity from the infill community (there is one btw). So the grass layed pretty flat and that was disappointing but I tried to get over it. 2) It melted. Uh, yeah, that's a problem. After a few months under the piping hot Southern California sun, the grass started getting these streaks of melted lines (see photos). I don't know how to explain it. It looked like someone left a 4 x 4 piece of metal on the grass that then heated up past what's reasonable and melted the grass. But there was no metal set on the grass. Maybe a reflection from a window? Couldn't find one. I have no idea what or how this happened, but the melted areas feel like the rough part of the kitchen sponge. They're rough and sharp (ish) but definitely not comfortable to play on. So, before contacting Amazon, I called the company. The grass was 8 months old at that point, to see if I could get a replacement or a refund. They DO have a 10-year warranty after all. Like I wrote in the title of this review, the guy on the phone was so rude. He didn't like that I was calling. He seemed very put off. Eventually, he asked me to send pictures. I went and took 7 pics, including a few close-ups, and emailed him right back. He replied: Hi Ryan, Do you know how did the turf melt? Can you cut a sample of the melted part and send to us. We will send replacement to you after we tested the sample. Wei LITA customer service team I replied: You can tell by the photos that it's melted. I took 3 close up shots for you. That is all I should need to do. Do you want more photos? He replied: I know your turf is melted, but it is part of our process. Please understand that we need the sample to test and told factory to keep our products in good quality. Please send it to LITA 1550 S Miliken ave, Ontario, CA 91761 Are you kidding??? Cut it out? He was much more rude on the phone than it seems in these emails. If he would've said that they're sorry this happened, they'll send another one right away and then asked if I would be able to cut out a small sample after the new grass got here and send it to him I would've said NO PROBLEM. Thanks for taking care of the problem in a friendly manner, I'd be glad to send it to you. They lost a customer. I contacted Amazon after that, explained what happened and they refunded my money. Amazon saves the day again. I bought another patch of artificial grass from SunVilla on Amazon and THAT has been fantastic, SO FAR. lol, let's see how we look in 8 months! Hope this was helpful, guys. UPDATE: 9/26/19 Okay, I'm going to have to eat some serious crow here... I realized, yesterday, after the second artificial grass I had bought (from a different company) suffered the same, oddly uniform, burns on it that this one did (that I gave a 1 star rating). It WASN'T the grass. I ripped the quality of this product unfairly, turns out. There is a set of double pane glass windows, overlooking our patio, that reflect the sun with serious intensity. As the weeks and months went by, different parts of the grass would get burnt and now I know why! Long story short, I'm raising my stars to 4. The grass is very comfortable but I have 2 issues. 1. Customer service was quite unfriendly but in the end I did get a refund after the return window (through MANUFACTURER warranty) so no stars removed for that. 2. I was told via email that I didn't need infill to keep the grass from standing up straight but I did. You DO need infill to keep it vertical. For that I dropped it to 4 stars. I would recommend this grass afterall, just get infill if you want a really close, real grass simulation. For the record, I was not paid or even contacted to change my rating. It's just the fair thing to do upon realizing my misjudgment. Still hope this was helpful!

Most of my back yard is patio, but I have an approximately 20' x 20' grassy area for the dogs. Unfortunately, the sun absolutely bakes the back yard, and the neighbor behind us allows his weeds to grow wild. I've tried seeding the lawn many times and I tried installing sod (which was a waste of money due to the unfortunate combo of sun and neighboring weeds). This artificial grass has been the perfect solution. I purchased 3 rolls and was pleasantly surprised by how nice they look. From certain angles this is obviously artificial grass, but from other angles it looks quite real. And from any angle it is far superior to the mud and Bermuda grass that used to be there. I put this directly over the dirt, with no gravel or sand fill. I assumed that would be a short term solution so that the dogs could use the yard, and that I'd have to go back and install a proper layer of sand/gravel for drainage. However, we've had a lot of rain plus 8 inches of snow and these are draining very well (even though our soil has a high clay content, so it's very dense). I don't think I'll need to put down any sort of base. The dogs took to this quickly and have been happily doing their business on the artificial grass. We haven't gone through a summer with this yet, but we've had unusually warm weather for late winter/early spring (it's been in the mid 80s) and lots of direct sunlight. The grass has not yet felt too hot (or even warm), so I'm hopeful that it won't burn any doggy feet in the summer. The rolls of artificial grass smelled a bit at the very start, but the dogs didn't seem to mind and the smell dissipated quickly. The dog urine drains through easily so we haven't experienced any urine smell, even when we've gone for over a week without rain. It's incredibly easy to pick up dog poop from this artificial grass, which is an added bonus. We have a 30 lb Shiba Inu (she's a Shibzilla, but her parents were also very large for the breed) and a 35 lb Mountain Feist. They are both very fast, and the Feist has crazy feet with extra strong nails, but they've been able to chase each other and play hard on this grass without any problems. ETA: Now with photos, both a close-up of the grass and a wider view. I have not yet tacked it down because I plan to purchase one more piece. The dogs LOVE this grass. Our Shiba enjoys lounging on it, and both dogs chase each other and play like crazy on it. So far this has been the best solution for our yard.

I loved this so much that I ordered a second one a couple of weeks after ordering my first. Some other reviewers complained about color mismatches when they ordered more. And in my case, yes - the second one seemed much lighter and shinier than the first one. But it's not because of a color mismatch. It's because this thing darkened and became more real as it fluffed up. I noticed that when I got my first one, it was really shiny. But it's not anymore I just put the second one out tonight. And the color looks like a total mismatch, even after I tried to fluff the whole thing up with my hands, and had my kids run around on it. But then I took a hairbrush and aggressive brushed a section of it ... and that part now perfectly matches the one that's been out for a few weeks. I really think the issue is that these have multiple colors in them, and the lighter color appears on top until the whole thing fully fluffs out. This is really a great artificial grass. The pictures don't do this grass justice. It's MUCH better in person than it looks in the pictures. Give it a couple of days before you judge it. It gets darker and less shiny after you let it air out. The only downside - it gets hot. If you've got a midday sun right above you and 80+ degree weather, you will definitely not be able to walk on this barefoot during that direct heat. It's Memorial Day weekend. I live in Seattle. It was in the 80's here today. We all played in the backyard. At midday, we had to put shoes on because some spots were just too hot. In the evening, it was still in the 80's, but without the direct sunlight, and the grass was cool to touch and to walk on. It's not the ambient temperature - it's just about whether the sun is beating down on it. It's plastic. That's going to be true of any synthetic grass. I'm not dinging the product for it - just saying, make sure you know that if you put this in an area where direct sunlight beats down on it, it will be too hot to walk on barefoot. Even with that, I'm buying more. I love it. I love my backyard again. I feel like I've had more quality time in my backyard with my kids in the last 3 days than I had with them in the last 3 years.

I was doing a fenced in dog run for my pup. This product looked great on paper. I received it, the delivery was great (came UPS) in tightly packed rolls. Easy to move to location. It’s well suited for the 1 dog I have. We also have another professional done area so it was easy to compare quality - this is def sub par to the other one which was a “named brand pet turf” but still pretty good. It was also easy to unroll - obviously needs to be unfurled and held down due to it being rolled. But within 1 overnight it was fully flat. Honestly, only 2 complaints - it’s difficult to fluff up even after multiple brushing, and the pieces are not all the same size (even though they’re supposed to be). Each piece seems to be about 2-5 inches off from each other. It’s not horrific, but annoying if you are looking to make it square. People have complained of the smell - it’s a plastic product and did have a smell when I first opened it up. But that dissipated within a few hours. Overall if you were doing this on the lower end of the budget, it’s workable - don’t expect the high end product of other pet grasses.
