I bought a large (7'6" x 9'6") blue one (beautiful, vivid color!) for my kitchen and it is perfect to go over my laminate floor. I had gone through several NuLoom rugs, in which cleaning was constant and the dye seem to leach a bit after using my carpet cleaning machine. But this one is MUCH easier to keep clean and seems to hold its color well. The first thing I did was spray it with ScotchGuard rug and carpet protector, which seems to really help. My kitchen is a high-traffic room. Now, it's a somewhat thin carpet - not a lot of cushion, but it looks great and adds a contrasting color to a neutral-color flooring. With carpet tape underneath, I think it would also work great for putting over a rug. ... show more

Hands down this rug is amazing. USA MADE!!! I bought the 'Boho Medallion - Ivory' in 7.6 x 9.6, 2.6 x 6, and 3 x 5. It is soft to walk on, and pretty to look at and my husband also likes it (he is pretty picky). Also, pretty much zero odor right out of the packaging. All of the rugs came rolled up and unrolled pretty much flat aside from a few corners that were bent a little. I have had them for a little over a week and already got a stain - damp cloth got it right up. I haven't had to wash in the machine yet, but I am excited that I can when it is time! I would love some more size options - which is my only knock - like 2x6 and larger like 8x10... FWIW - I tried one other washable rug brand and it came folded, smelled awful, and it was like a beach towel with non-slip backing. Do yourself a favor and don't bother with other washable rugs. RealLife rugs are legit awesome. -- UPDATE: 2 months in use So our rug got really dirty, really quick. We have an elderly dog, this is a high-traffic area and it is a cream color - so shows a lot. But there is good news in this update! I do not have access to a commercial washing machine to clean this big rug, but I do have a patio and power wash nozzle on my hose... And boy did this do the trick. Just the washing with the hose + nozzle got all the dirt off. I did use some stain treatment for some pet stains, and that worked really quick!! They have a customer for life for sure!!! I plan on getting more for other spaces in the future!! ... show more

Love this rug! Layed flat immediately. I love the colors, love the look!! Perfect for the laundry room and thin enough to open and close the door directly in front of it. I chose Medallion-beige ivory. Only thing I do not like is it is NOT non-slip so you may need to add a non-slip pad underneath (I cannot do that because it would make it too high and I won’t be able to open the door it’s placed in front of.) One of the reasons I purchased this was for the non-slip backing and height of rug so that is disappointing. Update: washed in my Kenmore Elite front loader and it washed beautifully (added pictures are after it was washed) Layed flat after wash, colors held up, did not tear or rip or fray and came clean ... show more

I’ve been looking for the right rug for our bathroom and this one fits and looks great! It’s a bit wider than most 6 ft runners and very soft. Very low pile, so it fits under the door, which was important to me, since our door hangs close to the tile. The colors look like they do online. It comes rolled up and not folded, so looks great out of the box. Made from sustainable materials. There is a little no slip backing material but it does slip a little on our tile floor. Not a deal breaker for the space. Well worth a little higher price. ... show more

Update about 9 mos later -- obsessed -- we have 2 dogs and a cat and it's amazing I can have anything cream colored in my home! This rug looks the same as first day, it's in master, never washed (probably needs one soon lol! BUT, HIGHLY Recommend...the cream and tans in this one are faded, so it looks far less 'printed' and looks great even up close....I LOVE this rug and will likely get another one larger for our living room! It's that good, even with 3 pets! I have not had any accidents on it yet, so don't know about that, but looks-wise, this rug ROCKS! Haven’t used this yet, but out of the box this looks really nice. Does not have a nasty chemical smell and looks like it would clean up quite well. I’m not sure about the wear and tear of it but it’s going in my bedroom so hopefully it won’t be too bad and it will hold up long. I don’t know about washing it in the washing machine. I don’t have a front loader so I don’t think I’ll be able to do that but I think it looks like it would clean up well. ... show more

ABSOLUTELY exceeded my extremely picky expectations!! Not only is this rug pattern gorgeous. The colors are earthy muted. It’s thick enough and comfy…This blows R’able out of the park!! Please consider making solid colors because I would have loved one that would have gone with the one I purchased but solid. NOTE to some reviews: I see some people purchasing a white rug and expecting them to come squeaky, clean with muddy dogs and muddy feet. You’re not gonna get that with any rug. My runner (2nd purchase) that matches this, leaves perfectly flat, and it does not slide. I also have a large and small dog. I really think it depends on the floors you have and where it’s located. My runner is located in the hallway. It doesn’t slide, but will my dog kick it occasionally? Of course. but it doesn’t slide unless you have tile flooring, perhaps and extremely glossy hardwood floors. You have to know what’s gonna work for your home and what kind of activity you have going on. As you can see in my photos, this is in my living room, and the runner is by the sliding glass door. We have a lot of traffic and have no issues with it moving. CLEANING…. This is just me, but I wouldn’t put any of these rugs even from the popular brand in the washing machine. My dog happened to throw up some unsightly yellow liquid. And as you can see, this rug is a creamy white. Do yourself a favor and invest in the woolite FOAM rug and upholstery cleaner that has the little scrubby brush on the end. You let the phone sit you gently scrub. You let it dry and then vacuum it up? Our rug still looks brand new. Hope this helps ... show more

    • Pretty but too thin

I bought 2 runners for in front of my cabinets in my kitchen. The design was pretty and I bought them because they were washable. I have 2 big dogs and lots of company. I did end up returning them because the color didn't match my kitchen. The grey and white I have in my kitchen is more of a neutral gray and not bright white. The grey in this rug is of varying shades but appears almost purplish grey and white compared to my more muted colors. I have the grey and white buffalo plaid valances and the purplish grey in this rug definitely clashes. So if you have the grey and white farmhouse look in your kitchen just be aware that this rug may not work. I'm also not sure how I felt about the texture of the rug. I would not have returned it for the material alone. I would have tried it out, but since I did return it I never tried walking on it and can't speak to how it would hold up. I really wasn't a fan of the smooth walking surface and the fact that it was very thin with no cushioning at all. I realize it was made this way in order to be washable and I appreciate that but I need a little softness under my feet while I'm working in the kitchen and this rug has none. I ended up ordering Maples rugs on Amazon. I have gotten this brand from a store in my town before and have had good luck with them. They are pretty, soft, washable and have a non-skid backing. They stay in place and I can even vacuum over them most times without much trouble. They are everything I look for in a rug. Amazon had them for a decent price and a bigger selection than in the stores. ... show more
