It's nice to hide money and other small values in a place people never seem to think to look...in your books. And I have owned a few safes or storage containers disguised as a book, but most of them have been obviously fake when you are right in front of them. Not this one, though. It is way more convincing and has actual pages to really sell the idea. The safe inside is not very large, so it can become full quickly, but it gets the job done well. The only downside is that if someone were to find the safe, it would not be too difficult to take the whole thing with them and break into it elsewhere. But then again, the hope is to conceal to begin with, and if you really want something more sophisticated, you would get a heavy duty safe. For what this is designed for, I think it is top notch. Such a cool item. Only downsides are how thick it is, and when you pick it up and examine it, you can kind of hear the lock clicking. Other than that, the design is great and the lock is secure!
