We wanted a mantle without doing all the constrction to build one. This is a nice looking product. Easy to put together. You literally use your fingers to put 99% of it together. A screwdriver needed for a few screws. It was damaged when we got it, so look yours over very well when it comes in. The company was great in sending the replacement parts quickly. That helped a lot. Some companies have horrible customer service, but not this one. The heater has no problem warming up our small living room. I don't believe it would do well heating in a larger area but would still look good. The peices match up pretty good but not perfectly. That is a bit of disappointment. I think for the price the peices should line up better. I have a woodworking background so I am very picky. Some people may not even notice. All in all, I am satisfied with the product. ... show more

This was delivered with lots of damage. Company replaced a few pieces. Was kinda tricky to assemble.... could be do to replacement pieces?? We had to make things fit right. But once everything was fixed and assembled we are now very happy with it. Our Hvac stopped working and this helped us get through that. Thankfull we ad it. The size is perfect. ... show more

It came well packaged in two boxes. One box contained the mantel pieces and the other had the firebox. It's very easy to put together with mostly wing nuts. It took about an hour to put together. I only needed to use the drill at the end to install the firebox. I love it's size. Its really does look real. It's made from solid wood. Only a couple of supportive pieces are made from Mdf. I give it four stars because there are a couple of noticeable gaps and when the fireplace is on with heat it can be kind of loud. I wish it had a "crackle" sound. I may try to customize it by covering the surround with tile and notching out the baseboard so it looks more built in. Honestly though this is a great fireplace for the money! ... show more

This fireplace looks beautiful. I am very happy with the size and sturdiness. There is a small gap between the top mantle and the vertical pillars on the side, but that's to be expected. The functions on the firebox are great. Many options for both temperature and brightness. My only complaint is the output of heat is less than I would like. I'm sure with letting it sit in a small space for a long time, the temp would increase, but we don't notice much of a temp increase when it's on for an hour or 2. Even getting close, you don't feel much heat except right by the vent. ... show more

Beautiful fireplace for the money. Adds a nice design element to our living room. Does not put out a lot of heat even in our small space, but is so attractive we don't care! Easy to put together, took less than an hour or so. Pieces matched fairly well, one base hole in the back was drilled too big, but we managed to make a new one to secure piece. We were looking for a tall electric fireplace and there just weren't very many to choose from in this type of style and with simple features, so this design hit the mark. ... show more
