This tv stand is very nice and well constructed. Yeah it is press board and not real wood but its thick and heavy duty. Putting together took about 2 hours. That's with real tools and power drill. If you use what tools the stand comes with to put it together you will end up with instant arthritis and complete lose of function for a week. The flame in the fire place is very realistic and puts out a nice amount of heat too. Biggest thing I'd watch out for is heat build up in 2 end cabinets. I have my router, wifi modem, xbox , cable box and apple tv box in them and with the doors closed it builds up a ton of heat.. there is no good ventilation. I was recording temps of over 90 degrees. I ended up installing a ac infinity brand entertainment center cooling fan system in the back and that keeps the temps down. ... show more

This is a beautiful piece, really makes the room look nice . I have my 70 inch tv on it and it’s perfect! It took about 1.25hrs to assemble it with 2 people but it wasn’t hard to do especially if you have a drill which made it faster to finish . Like other reviews the front doors did not align but no big deal it still closes and just over all it is nice and very good quality. My dogs love the warmth from the fireplace, I’ll have to see how much it actually warms my living room in the winter. I do think it might have been over priced since you have to assemble it yourself but it was a good purchase overall. ... show more

I did a lot of research on Fireplace TV stands before settling on this one. As it happened, it was delivered the same day I was having a small get together at my house. My friend's husbands offered to put it together, it took them about two hours. There were the same glitches as other reviewers mentioned (a screw missing, doors uneven, a gap on the top where two boards don't quite meet up just right). Unfortunately the thing I'm really disappointed in is the fireplace install itself. The lowest setting is 71 degrees, which to me is too warm. I wanted something that could just take the chill out of the air on cool mornings but this is like turning on a furnace. I don't think I'll be able to use it to store any electronics in the cabinets. Waiting to hear back from the seller about getting a different fireplace insert and may add another star and edit if it gets resolved. ... show more

It came in two separate shipments. Not a big deal. All of the screws, bolts, washers etc all came in one bag. It was a hassle to organize them. It’s very cheaply made and when attaching two bottom pieces the screw broke right out and cracked the bottom. We had to glue and drill separate holes in order to reattach the bottoms pieces. One front piece came cracked (picture attached), and there were black grease marks all over the entire fire place. It took a lot of scrubbing to get them off. It was such a hassle put together, very few pieces aligned up. There is still a gap at the top that we can’t get aligned. It looks amazing, but I doubt it will hold up when we move. ... show more

Assembly wasn’t too bad except for one part, the diagram didn’t really fit where the part actually was to be installed- Had one door that did not fit properly, still is off a little, but is acceptable- Would buy this again-

Love this item but while putting together I ran into a problem with aligning the holes because they were not drilled right. I took care of it with a drill though. It tools another 5 more min.
