It takes one person several hours to assemble, and I had no trouble just slowly following the directions. I will have to redo the last couple of steps on the mantle to get it better align. It arrived well package (good thing since the box got a little beat up). Everything on the firebox seems to work and it looks nice. I'm 5'4" and it comes up to about my chest, so it's not quite as tall as a traditional fireplace but does look very nice. Hoping that the firebox works well - won't be able to test it out for an extended period until cooler weather comes but all the functions on the remote seem to work correctly so far as my short testing went. ... show more

I love this fireplace so much! I have wanted them in past homes and considering the minimal expense, I really missed out. Everyone needs a fireplace heater unit in their bedrooms! So beautiful and cozy. The fireplace has multiple flame and coal settings for different looks as well as multiple temps and timers that will keep the flames and heater going up to the set temp for up to 8 hours. The assembly so easy to put together, it took me about an hour with opening and organizing all of the parts. As others have mentioned, the last step of affixing the heater unit requires someone to hold the unit in place while someone screws it in - I cheated and had my husband pre-drill small starter drill holes in the wood. I am so happy with the ease of assembly, ease of use and such an amazing unit. ... show more

I looked at dozens and dozens of pictures and videos of electric fireplaces online and this Real Flame firebox appeared to have one of the more realistic looking log sets and flames of the affordable electric freestanding fireplaces with mantel. Now I would love one of those more realistic holographic models and crackling sound would be great but I wasn't about to shell out thousands of dollars for one of those for my mobile home. The Silverton did initially look a bit bland so I added some fake bricks to the fake fireplace as well as a wood carrier w/real logs and a basic fireplace tool set to round out the illusion. Now nobody is going to mistake it for a real fireplace for more than a second or two but it makes for a nice decorative element for the living room and the heater takes the chill off a cool morning or late night. We wanted a fireplace in a house not designed for adding a chimney or air vent to the outside. This is perfect for us. It was easy to put together, heats our fairly large space nicely when we want heat, and while these aren't true flames, the illusion is very pleasant. The fan that propels the heat is very quiet. Product was very nicely packed. I'm a 70 year old female and it took me less than an hour to put together. I absolutely love it. It definitely adds to the aesthetics of my living room. I have nothing negative to say about the product. My only complaint is they used FedEx to deliver it. Instead of putting it at my door they left it in the driveway. The UPS man just happened to show up with a package when I went out to retrieve it and he carried it to my door for me. ... show more
