This throws some heat...but barly warms a room. The hatch above the heater wouldn't close so I had to sand both sides of the hatch door sonic would close...and I had to modify the magnet so it would latch. It's okay, but in no way is this worth 1600.00! Keep shopping, and you might save a couple bucks on somthing that does the same thing and be able to eat! ... show more

    • Best purchase ever
When we first got this, the base was extremely damaged. We immediately took photos of boxes and damage and then contacted company to get it replaced. I was shocked on how much we had to go thru to get a new replacement for the base of the fireplace. Photos, pictures of barcodes, labels, tickets, boxes, etc. It was just overboard with their request and I could totally understand if someone was asking for a brand new total unit replacement but we only needed the base. I felt this company was not customer friendly and made it very difficult to do business with when you were trying to get a replacement part. The company did send a replacement and arrived between a week and two after my initial contact. My husband and I put it together and even though it took a little while, the directions were very easy to follow. Everyone who has come into our home and has seen this, absolutely LOVE it. We love it and it has way more features than we even knew. One great feature is that you can just have the flame on for looks and not for heat. We are very happy we bought this product and our friends wanted to know where we got it because they wanted one too. Anyone buying this will not be disappointed, it is worth every bit the money you pay. ... show more

    • Beautiful Piece but takes time to put together
I love the overall look of the piece. It adds a lot to my family room. The one bad thing about it is that is does take a while to put together and a few of the nuts that are built into the wood for screws to attach to dislodged from the wood with very little torque applied and I had to Glue them back into place hoping that they would hold. Only had it for one day now but I love it so far. Relatively easy to build just takes a cpl hours. The fireplace it self is great and is really great at warming the room. I highly recommend it but like I said itโ€™s only been one day. If anything changes Iโ€™ll come back and edit review.

We love this thing. In a space where building an actual fireplace is cost prohibitive this is a near perfect system. It looks very nice when installed. The only problem I have is the side storage with the doors doesn't accommodate our PS4, so that has to sit on top. Xbox fits inside but will overheat if you do not leave the door open ... show more

Overall a good fireplace and cabinet. Fairly sturdy but the directions are not that great and it is all particle board. Also it is not very tall. Took two guys almost 3 hours to put it together. Would purchase it again.
