I shouldn't love this thing as much as I do but when I'm in the mood to bed-rot it is the best. It is solid- I don't worry about the pillow not being able to hold the weight of anything I put on it but it is also soft and comfortable to have sitting on my lap. It has worked great for my laptop, reading physical and kindle books, coloring, and gaming with my switch. I broke my arms a while back and still have pain from it so the arms rests are a big help for me. If I want to sit cross legged I do need to pull it far in sit levelly but it is a small issue. I have had it that when I set it aside it can topple over if items aren't centered so just be aware of that. The pockets are nice and my only real nitpick is I wish it had a cup holder. ... show more

    • Great Pillows. Sizing makes a BIG difference - measure, measure, measure!

I have many physical disabilities and this pillow helps greatly with easing some of my daily discomfort. The pillow itself is of great quality and I'm sure will last a while. Measurements are VERY important, though. Make sure to measure everything! I say this, because I ended up having to buy all 3 sizes before I found the one that would work for me - and, I measured and compared beforehand! Maybe have someone help you with the measurements where you will be using the pillow, if possible? I did my own measuring and, obviously that didn't work very well! The seller was VERY accommodating, as I kept buying sizes that weren't right! They were great communicators as well. Kudos and much thanks to them! As far as criticisms, the only suggestion that I could make would be to change the placement of the zipper. It is right where my elbow rests and is quite irritating. Although there is a zipper cover, it is still bothersome (to me), and really should be put somewhere else. Different colors would be nice, too, but not a deal-breaker. Since I've personally tested all three sizes, I will say that they all are very well-made. The large- and the small-sized ones are made pretty much exactly the same (aside from the measurements). The medium pillow seems to be slightly less firm, and the cover is a lot softer. Overall, I highly recommend these reading pillows (and, this seller!) ... show more

As someone who housesits for a living while going to school online, this is one of the best purchases ive ever made. I dont have to worry about where to set up or if they even have a spot to set up my laptop, i bring the spot with me! My laptop does not slide off the pillow, my laser mouse reads just fine on the fabric so i dont have to use a mousepad, there is plenty of room for my legs, i love the pockets on the sides, the laptop is at the perfect height to reduce tech neck. The only reasons i gave it 4 instead of 5 stars, was because i don't like the method used for travel packing, and the height where my elbows sit is just an inch or so too high. It is very awkward to try to use ur body to squish it down in order to hook and tighten the single strap provided to wrap it up. I believe a much wider, preferrably ratcheting, strap is necessary and i am worried the loop you hook the strap into is going to rip off soon. I will probably end up purchasing a furniture strap to do this. For my second concern, using it with ur elbows resting on it for long periods of time begins to feel like ur shoulders are in ur ears, causing some tightness or soreness, but that could just be a me issue. ... show more

My husband and I just got steam decks so we could game together. My wrists and arms were killing me holding it for long periods of time so I went on a hunt for a solution. There weren’t a lot of options and after doing a bit of research and looking over reviews I settled on the small version of this pillow. The price is high but with the limited competition I can se why. So I got it next day which was awesome and we did a session of gaming this evening. I’m an average size woman 5’5”. This pillow fit me perfect width and height using it in bed. After a few hours of gaming I can say with confidence that this is worth its cost. I had zero wrist or arm pain. The pillow is very very firm. I was actually surprised. It feels high quality. It was ready to use within an hour of being out of the shrink wrap. It’s a hefty weight maybe 5lbs. The cover comes off to wash and the pockets are great for holding your phone or ear bud case or even a drink. I will say the cover material I slick so anything on it tend to slide a bit. Overall it solved a problem and it will be great for gaming, crocheting and gaming in bed! I’ll be getting my husband one as soon as the price goes back down. ... show more

Bought (large) pillow using the measurements provided to receive shoulder and neck pain from neck (looking downward) while reading, using laptop and engaging in needlework. Using the measurements provided in description (opening width 15.7, front height 13" and armrest height 9.05" and because I am 5'6" and 3/4") I opted to select the large sized reading pillow. However, I feel the more pertinent measurement to specify would hav been the distance the deck is from the back of the armrest when sitting upright (the depth of the opening where you torso is), not only the ones specified. Although the memory foam and the structure of the reading/gaming pillow is absolutely great, because the distance of the deck is so far away (even with pillows placed at back to prop me up closer (see pics)) that it hasn't alleviated the pain between my shoulders when working on laptop because I have to scoot so far forward that I have no back support and end up slouching and causing more pain while still overstraining my neck when reading. The distance of the deck should have been mentioned as a measurement for consideration when selecting the size, which it was not. Instead, one is left to deduce the measurement (by subtracting the two measurements provided 22.05" - 9.45" = 12.55) themselves, because it wasn't mentioned I didn't factor it in and it ended up being the main measurement that inhibits comfortable use or any pain alleviation. I made my decision relying solely on the measurements listed to consider, the pillow is basically useless for the purpose intended as I continue to experience continued neck/upper back pain and no longer have a use fo rate pillow. Because of the distance to the deck, I can't rest my laptop comfortably in front of me at a reasonable distance when using the armrest, so it caused more of a uncomfortable (pinched nerve) feeling between my shoulders when having to stretch arms further away. I hope this review gives others a heads up, to also consider the distance your torso will be/how far you'll have to stretch your arms to reach the deck where your laptop or book will be...I have a normal arm length but for me this caused more strain than it helped alleviate and caused me to slouch when sitting closer and upright w/o back support. In sum, the quality of the memory foam is great (although there is a annoying smell at first, it does go away) it just doesn't work for me and doesn't help my back/neck pain. ... show more

    • False pictures and bad design

I'm pretty frustrated with mine and I consider the listing false advertising. Part of the reason I bought this particular cushion is that the listing shows the "mezzanine" as a selling point and I've seen reviews where people state they can flip the extra piece over the top and use that to make the surface higher. Mine doesn't have that at all and I'm really disappointed. I wanted to be able to flip up the mezzanine so I had some flexibility since I mostly want to use this cushion to write on. I also thought it'd give me some flexibility because I didn't want the cushion resting completely on my legs or else I'd buy a lap desk. Instead I have a cushion that leans forward onto my knees the second you put weight on it and I can't even adjust the surface height with the mezzanine. Also generally, it's poorly designed. The arms shouldn't be the same height from front to back, our arms literally don't work like that. The slope you see in the pictures is really exaggerated and it's almost completely level on the real thing. I didn't realize how big of a problem it is but you end up with nowhere to put your elbows! And because it's so narrow you can't really tuck your elbows into your sides. Also, it's incredibly narrow both around the waist and further down so you have to keep your legs sticking straight out the whole time. I regret this purchase. About the only good thing about it is that the foam is actually quite firm. That being said, the surface actually has a small curve in the center so you can't lay something on it flat. I have an eink tablet I wanted to use to write on but it needs support across the whole back or else they can warp. If I used this cushion, I'd absolutely warp the screen and trash a several hundred dollar device. Get something else, this thing is going to mess up your biomechanics. ... show more

I bought this for a friend who had just gotten out of surgery and it made his recovery marginally better. He was able to use devices and his laptop comfortably. He's better now, but apparently his daughter enjoys using it with her Switch so it's still getting use. It smells awful when you open the bag. Let it air out and it'll be fine. ... show more
