The skin fits great on the camera, and helps it keep a firm grip. i was even able to get my Lbracket on the camera still. Be careful getting things onto the hot-shoe though, i almost broke my flash transmitter because of the tight fit

    • Good, inexpensive basic protection for your camera body

I bought this soft case thinking I'd use it to keep my Sony A7r2 from getting scratched or dinged in my backpack when traveling. I've been using a MegaGear leather case for that purpose, which works well but takes up a lot of space. Given what this product doesn't protect -- notably the lens and the screen -- that wasn't my best idea. But that's not the fault of the case. I'm still happy I bought it. Instead, I will use it for protection while I'm walking around and shooting. For that it's better than what I currently use, which is the bottom half of the MegaGear case. PROS: 1. The fit is snug, and all the dials and buttons are available. Some reviewers complained that the case makes it hard to operate some of the dials, but I haven't had that problem. Someone with really large hands might disagree. 2. The case has labels for all the buttons, which is a good thing because it covers up the labels on the camera itself. 3. The battery and card compartments are easily accessible. 3. My grip on the camera is, if anything, improved with this case. CONS 1. The product description calls it "ease to install and remove". Well, maybe. It's not hard, but I wouldn't call it easy either. For one thing, you need to remove a) your lens, b) your strap, and c) any hot shoe accessories. The strap, in particular, can be a pain. Fortunately, I've invested in a Peak Design strap, which easily unclips. The case also has its own hot shoe cover, which means you need to remove (and not subsequently lose) the one that comes with your camera. 2. Others have complained that case, even though it's thin, makes it's difficult to attach a flash or other peripheral via the hot shoe. I haven't tested that yet, but it's easy to see why that might be the case. 3. While the buttons are labeled, the letters are black on black, and therefore hard to read. ... show more
