I purchased the kids reading pillow in camouflage for our grandson. The instructions for fluffing the pillow after removing from the vacuum sealed shipping bag were clear and simple to follow. The colors are rich and deep and the pillow looks great. I also appreciate that the cover is removable for laundering. It has been working really well for our grandson. He's having to spend more time in bed than usual right now and it's perfect for when he feels like watching TV or playing a video game. The pillow provides excellent support and is also comfortable at the same time. It doesn't get "all squished up" so it doesn't need frequent adjusting. This is because the pillow is stuffed with shredded foam rather that polyfill or polystyrene beads. I did send an email to the seller (whose info was proudly included with the pillow which shows they stand behind their product) on a Saturday morning and I received a reply from Joyce less than 10 minutes later... on a Saturday! She was amazing and incredibly responsive. If you're considering a ComfortSpa Reading Pillow, it's a quality product and I highly recommend you purchase it!

After an unexpected injury, I was looking for a better solution than piling up every pillow I owned and not being able to fetch them after they fell off the bed. Scrolling on Amazon showed plenty of promising pictures, but actually going into the reviews and looking at the products themselves was quickly becoming fruitless. Upon finding this pillow, what drew me to it initially where the pockets that are on each of the arms. I have been constantly losing small things like my medicine, my cell phone, lip balm.... Basically anything that possibly can be lost, I have been misplacing it in my pillow/blanket nest/fort. Upon purchasing this item, it arrived ridiculously fast, and it was vacuum sealed in a much smaller box than I anticipated. As with anything that arrives vacuum sealed, make sure you do not cut it open because you can damage the product! The biggest struggle so far has been just waiting for it to fluff up, which can be done much more quickly by following the simple instructions on the box and placing it in the dryer for a few minutes on no heat with a few tennis balls. As I do not have any tennis balls, I messaged the business owner Joyce, and was delightfully surprised by the speed and empathy in her response. I can now see with confidence that you do not need any tennis balls, and even if you don't own a dryer as long as you can shake it for about 5 minutes it will fluff up just fine. And if you can't shake it, just leaving it alone to settle for 1 to 2 days will provide you with a great pillow the likes of which I really haven't seen since about the '80s (and those were all seemingly made of corduroy and all appeared to have a secondhand cigarette smoke smell pre-installed!). If I could change one thing, I would add a large pocket onto the back of it for a laptop, magazine, or adult coloring book. And for all I know, there is a larger size available that already offers these things--it just wasn't in my price range at the time. I would rate this product 14 out of 5 stars for the phenomenal response on behalf of the seller, 7 out of 5 for comfort and how fun it is to watch something that has been vacuum sealed reconstitute, and a solid 5/5 all around. Oh, and laying on it / reclining on it/resting on it feels good too! It's very soft, the material does have a one-way nap which can easily be pushed the other direction so if you have cats that like to climb on it you can brush their paw prints away or leave them as you so choose, I have an extremely sensitive nose and cannot detect anything offensive about the scent of the product itself, and the only thing I would request is for the next one that is made to be one that gently lifts the legs from the knee going up to the feet (like a yoga bolster for people who have poor circulation).

I got a ComfortSpa Reading Pillow to replace a similar bolster pillow that I have had for many years. It has worked mostly as advertised. The instructions state that it may take as long as 48 hours for the foam to expand after unwrapping, and that was my experience. Although it was functional after maybe an hour, I do think it still expanded slightly during that second day. The general quality of the covers seems pretty good, and I like the fact that there is an inner cover that contains the fill which is in turn covered by a removable outer cover. That should be handy for occasional washing and mending of any seams that may come unstitched as occurred with my old bolster pillow. I like its size (I got the large option) and it provides good support for me, even though I am reasonably large. What I don’t like about it is that the fill seems a little chunky. Looking at it, it is as though the chipped foam came from cushions with harder plastic skins that were chopped with the rest of the foam. I did manage to move the most offending pieces from the part that contacts my back when I am sitting in it, but given that the foam shown in their advertisement isn’t like that, I find a bit misleading. i.e. fill the pillow with a lower quality fill than what is shown in the advertisement. I also do not care for the prominent label tag on the side of the pillow’s backrest. Granted, a pillow like this is not associated with high-end furniture, but even still having the tag so visible like that instead of underneath is a bit cheesy. All-in-all, its not a bad pillow, but it does have a couple of annoying aspects to it.

I had not had a reading pillow for decades and had forgotten what a luxury they are. I am writing this during the quarantine of 2020, while we are spending extensive down time at home. Thus, this purchase. Cost - I was surprised at the higher cost of some of these pillows, but I am sure they are making a come back demand. This one was moderately priced, leaning more towards economical. Shipping - I am a Prime member and received it in a day or so. Upon opening my front door and seeing a medium sized box, I thought ‘What in the world?’ I previously worked for a popular home goods store chain and we merchandised them as open stock on shelves. The first thing I pulled out of the box, was a letter stating not to be alarmed at the pillowed being compressed quite flat. It went on to say that it will shake out, but may take a couple days to rise to its full size. I thought, ‘Yeah, right. Better keep the box for a disappointing return’. So not the case. I pulled the pillow out (shrink wrapped, for lack of a better description), grabbed it by both sides and gave it a few good shakes. Much to my surprise, the pillow was perfectly ready for use. I do not know how many times I had to shake it, but I was not tired afterwards. My pillow rose to its full capacity immediately and did not require any extra time. Quality - This is a very well constructed pillow. It is firm, but comfy. If you are looking for a very fluffy and feather like pillow, this is not the one you should select. It comes with an ample bag of extra stuffing, making its firmness adjustable. As I am the type of person who immediately seasons their food prior to taste, I unzipped ( double zipper) the pillow and inserted the entire bag into the back of the pillow. I did not even remove the contents fro the bag. A normal human would have tried the pillow out first and perhaps found there was not a need for extra stuffing. Or, perhaps they may had added the stuffing to the arm rests or another particular part of the pillow. Forgive me. It is a character flaw. Albeit, from the side view, you cannot even tell. I should mention that it also has a securely attached handle on top. This is not a heavy pillow, but depending on ones health, this handle could be needed. Size - I am 5’9 and weight 132 lbs. I keep the pillow atop of my sleeping pillow (see photos) , and it totally accommodates my height. There is plenty of room for a person with a larger frame. Extras - There is a large pocket on the back of the pillow, which will accommodate a magazine or two. There are smaller pockets on each arm rest. I am sure they will hold a cell phone and remote, to make carrying of the pillow and additional items from room to room easier. The cover is removable, for washing. It only comes in this dark bluish teal color, that leans towards navy. I may have chosen an alternate color, but this is a small family business, explaining the lack of a color selection. I am very satisfied with the shade. On the mention of the company owners, the letter gives clear contact info, should you be dis-satisfied. I think that this is going to be a very long long affair.

This pillow by ComfortSpa is awesome! I ordered the set of two large pillows, and I'm super-satisfied with the design, look, feel, quality, price, and customer service. I reached out for a question and received a very helpful email back immediately. You can tell that Joyce and her husband care about their customers and the products they sell. The package comes with a letter from the owners with specific instructions on how to get the pillow to fluff out from being squeezed tight for shipping to full size. It will take a couple weeks, but putting it in the clothes dryer (on the recommended heat setting per the instructions) and being a little patient will get the job done. There is an inner pillow case that holds the shredded memory foam, and there is a plush outer cover. Both are zippered. I opened up the pillow after fluffing it in the dryer, put my arm in, and separated the memory foam that was stuck together. This helps to fluff the pillow even more. I've used it for working in bed, reading in bed, and eating on the couch. It allows me to sit close enough to eat with my plate and glass on a TV table while supporting my back. For all the reasons listed above, the amazing customer service (very rare these days), and the fact that this family-owned and family-operated business is in the good, old U.S.A., I highly recommend a ComfortSpa reading/back pillow. It lives up to its company's name...bravo, ComfortSpa!

There was absolutely nothing to dislike about this. I have used others in the past, but they bulged in the wrong spot while never enabling you to set up comfortably as well as have side support. The only way I can describe it is it feels the way you do then you have someone sitting close behind you with their arms cuddled next to your side allowing you to comfortably rest on them or if you are into stuffed animals like I am, it’s like being swaddled by a giant teddy bear. Lol I ordered an extra one to give as a gift who is bedridden. I know she’s gonna love it especially because it’s like Goldilocks it’s not too firm and it’s not too soft. It’s just right. Wedges are horrible since they are inflexible and make you sweat. There are some that remind me of a back of a beach chair, which is not conducive to actually comfortably sitting in bed. What is so funny is I can fall asleep sitting against this and not wake up achy which happens when I tried to bunch pillows together and fell asleep. I have a hard time sleeping anyway, but the craziest thing is as soon as I get in bed and use this I fall asleep within 25 minutes. So this not only is a great item to use for sitting in bed reading or using your laptop, but it also is fantastic if you fall asleep as well as help when you go to sleep, believe it or not. Kudos to the husband and wife who came up with this idea. Thank you thank you thank you. Also the material is just right. I will probably buy two more and put them in my bedroom closet for future use. I did forget to say this is perfect because I have a headboard that has a book shelf area across the entire bed where I place the books I am reading or will be reading, but it, makes sitting up in the bed uncomfortable. Buy it and you’ll be happy that you did plus like I said it makes a fantastic gift for someone who is bedridden or recovering from surgery or an injury, requiring them to stay in bed. They will love you for it.
