This is our 2nd RC collar (our other dog has one, in the brown/teal Modern Damask print) and looks beautiful on our puppy, while standing up to her crazy outdoor antics and wrestling with our other dog - whose collar is still gorgeous after about 2 years. The D-ring is probably a bit oversized, so we've used non-metal tag rings to cut down on the noise (but it is hard to get tags onto it, unfortunately). The wider width is great for larger dogs, and doesn't bite into their neck. If you are having to take in the width of the collar, it is annoying to try and get it over the thick plastic logo (which, as large as it is, does detract from the pretty design). Overall, the D-ring and logo are still worth it to have a nice-looking collar that has been subjected to very energetic dogs that are often outside, in leashed or unleashed situations, and that love to pull on each other's collars. The matching leashes we also purchased are pretty and have held up well so far as well. ... show more

This is my third RC collar for my 40 lb. dog - not because they broke or rotted but because they are so durable and have so many cute designs. I have purchased other collars with the plastic hook clasps that failed after several months but none of these have failed. First one was used for 3 years, second one has been in use for one year and still works and looks great. This one is my backup for the current one. I bought 2 of these, one for each of my dogs. They are beyond sturdy and at several months in the fabric is still bright and there is no fraying. Good quality, good craftsmanship, good value. We have long neck dogs, (greyhounds) that are professional nippers and the seem quite comfortable in these.

This collar is just perfect for my husky. You could almost never tell that she was wearing one before because of her coat. The thickness of this collar makes it visible. I've gotten many compliments. This is a nice collar, with a good price for the quality. I have purchased a couple of these collars and like them a lot. My dogs wear their collars all the time, so I need a good product that is sturdy and reliable. These have fit the bill well. My only complaint, for which I have knocked off one star, is that this collar has started to pill/fray a little in a relatively short time. It has a few threads hanging off it now in the center of the fabric. In other words, this is not fraying along the edges. It is dead center of the collar. My dogs are not particularly hard on their collars, aside from getting them dirty, so I was disappointed to see pulled threads in the material so soon. My dogs play in the yard a bit and in the house. It is not like they are bushwhacking through the forest or jungle. One of my more sedentary, older dogs has a collar of the same brand, and hers doesn't have the same issue. So, I would be hesitant to buy another of these for daily wear for a moderately active dog. Something to consider. But in general, these a really nice looking, decent collars. I will be buying something more durable for around the house, and use these for when I take my goons someplace and would like them to look cute. ... show more
