    • Almost perfect, but still the best
I am a controller lover, I have tried and used every single pro controller out there. This might be my favorite yet (but only for strictly for pc gaming). It’s only missing 1 thing. Stick Tension control… If it had that, this would be a PERFECT controller. The good things: 1. Lowest input delay out there, the 8k polling is just marketing. 8k polling rate means absolutely nothing if the input delay is terrible, however, this controller has almost no delay, so combined with the 8k polling it makes it the fastest controller on the market, and all of this is on the wireless mode you don’t even need to have it plugged in for the benefits. 2. Clicky everything! But in a good way. I hate some of the new clicky face buttons that other controller are doing, they feel cheap, and I usually find myself wanting membrane face buttons, however, this controller has a mix of membrane and clicky on each face button, so you get the good tactile feel and speed of clicky and the smooth and memorable feel of membrane, without any of the drawbacks of either. 3. Perfect 4 paddle setup! It’s honestly mind blowing that the series 2 elite made the perfect 4 paddle setup years ago and all the controller brands keep trying different paddle setups trying to be “unique” but end up making uncomfortable and unusable monstrosities (Including the old wolverines). 4 paddles, each located perfectly on the back to be clicked simultaneously by a different finger. That’s its. The vertical paddles of a scuf are stupid, the horizontal buttons on the Vader are stupid, and the buttons on the envision are also stupid since you can only use 2 fingers and move them in between the two paddles, that’s 2 fingers for 4 buttons, STUPID. The series 2 mastered the layout, but that controller is full of issues when it comes to build quality. This controller did it PERFECTLY, without the reliability issues. 4. GOODBYE STICKDRIFT. These are the absolute smoothest Hall Effects I have ever used in my life. They feel perfect. The Vader 4 pro is my runner up before this controller, however as much as I loved that controller, the sticks always felt like there was something weird about them. They had that weird Hall effect stick feeling. These do not! They are perfect. Everyone loves to praise Sony for the DS Edge. Omg they fixed stick drift they gave us replaceable thumbsticks modules… no, they didn’t. They don’t fix anything. They gave you the same modules that are designed to break overtime and put you on a subscription plan so you keep giving them money every time you need to replace your sticks. I would’ve loved to see TMR sticks om this controller instead of Hall effect, however these Hall effects are so smooth and perfect that honestly I don’t even care. 4. Toggle between clicky triggers (actually clicky, mouse like switches, not that DS edge bs with shortened travel time) and regular triggers. Need I say more? Chefs kiss. 5. Beautiful ergonomics and grip texture. Everything feels so smooth. The grips on the elite 2 are still my favorite, however these come in second and are still fantastic. 6. Light as a feather. Ok this one is personal preference since I play only competitively, so the removal of Rumbles and RGB, opting for a lighter controller is great for me. I understand where someone might want those two things but when you’re playing for hours, there is nothing like a light controller. And for competitive gaming you should have your rumbles off anyways… so to me this is a plus, to others it may be a deal breaker. 7. The software. I don’t like controller softwares… iCue literally RUINED the envision for me. The razer software is not that bad. You launch it once, update your controller, make your layout changes, and close it. Never open it again. I don’t mind that. It does not need to be constantly running like iCue or other controller softwares. If you’re going to have a software this is how it should be. 8. It fits Kontrol Freeks perfectly! Need I say more? (I’m looking at you envision) So yes I love this controller. It’s almost perfect. Ive been using this controller so far for a week now, I must say i'm extremely happy with it. Im coming from a dualsense edge controller. While its awesome for PS5 which I enjoy using for its haptics and features made exclusively for ps5, I disliked having to use it wired on my PC and at times my hands would cramp due to its size and weight. I wanted something specifically made for competitive pc gaming and this thing is fast, extremely fast. Everything about this controller is extremely responsive, the buttons are very satisfying to use. The grip is real grippy which helps with my occasional sweaty hands. I did own the original wolverine v3 which (xbox model) which I ended up selling because I found the sticks had really high tension and I felt I wasn't accurate at all with it, which left me disappointed. That model had hall effect sticks , these have TMR sticks. The joysticks on these have the perfect tension and I have been extremely accurate while playing games like BF6. This controller feels miles better than the original V3. Ontop of that its very light and is a perfect size for my hands which i've always felt the dualsense to be a little bulky. This controller feels extremely premium and I absolutely don't regret paying a little more for extra grip and wireless. I use this controller for hours and the battery is still at about 90% running at 8k polling. If wireless and extra grip doesn't matter to you, then try the tournament edition. Either way , you cant go wrong with this controller. I recommend calibrating the sticks before you start using it. This might be the fastest and smoothest controller ive ever used.     • Fantastic controller, great performance
5/5 performance and features 4/5 build quality and premium feel As a lifelong gamer that is now getting into my 30s, having a comfortable controller that also performs well means a lot to me, and I’m willing to pay for it. For my hands this controller allows me to play without much fatigue and without flaring up any tendinitis as long as I am mindful about the length of my gaming sessions. This is an absolute 5/5 stars in terms of customizability and performance. When combined with reWASD I don’t think you can get a much better controller. There’s just something slightly lacking in that premium “feel”, the plastic feels a little thin, they just quite didn’t hit the mark for a $200 price tag. For example, I have the Victrix Pro BFG which comes at a similar price tag. Overall I like the feel of this controller in my hands more (which I realize is subjective) but just objectively the Victrix “feels” more premium. But where it matters, this controller truly shines. ... show more
