My first foray into vertical mice, but I really like this one. It takes some time getting used to, but it definitely helps with my wrist strain. The cable quality is quite nice and the connectivity has been very stable for me when going wireless. It’s also quite customizable with the razer software, although the mouse sometimes requires turning on and off to get the correct profile to activate. The clicks are, however, a bit loud if that’s a concern for you, but it is satisfying (physically) in my opinion. ... show more

First thing's first, I have no idea what the other reviewer was going on about with the mouse not have a DPI switching button, it is clearly the same button it has always been on Razer mice, the center button below the scroll wheel. Yes, if you long hold it you get a gimmicky modal that pops up for "AI" prompting, but, that requires a very long, intentional hold, _and_ it can easily be turned off. As for the mouse, I like it a lot! As someone who gets chronic wrist pain (ouch, getting older!), this mouse is a breath of fresh air. Up until now, there's only really been one true competitor in the "Vertical Gaming Mice" space, which is the Keychron M5. Sadly, that has been hard to get my hands on, so I won't be able to do a one to one comparison, but I've heard great things about that mouse (when it's in stock ;_;) As for _this_ mouse, I can say there are many things I enjoy about it. For one thing, the angle: It's almost the same as the Logitech MX Vertical, which is my daily driver for work. I prefer a steeper mouse so it's great to see. Another is the pinky platform that is on the mouse, as it allows you to quickly pick up and re-place the mouse during gaming sessions. The side buttons too, while taking a little bit to get used to, I've ended up appreciating, as they allow your thumb to get a good point of contact for balancing the mouse in your hands during quick movements, which you'll need to, given how heavy this thing is... Jumping into the negatives, there are two main one's I have, starting with the one that's the most unavoidable, the weight. At around 150 grams, this weighs close to a Naga Pro, so don't expect to be able to flick shoot all day with the thing without noticing the weight in your hand. The other negative I have is actually in the scroll wheel, it's too tight. Not just the scrolling action, but the center click as well. I cannot use the scroll wheel without counter weighting my thumb against the mouse which is a bummer, as for certain games I've gotten used to using the center click button for various things (like push to talk) Despite the negatives, I do like this mouse a great deal, and intend to use it as my daily driver moving forward. I can overlook those two negatives for the comfort that this mouse gives me (which isn't even marketed as a gaming mouse, but that 1000hz polling makes a world of difference) in my daily sessions. (Last thing, I will the battery, when fully blasting RGB, is nothing to write home about. Only lasting about 3 days, but if you turn off the RGB it barely drains it at all lol) ... show more

Loving the mouse, great design! Although the software for the LED is garbage, what were you thinking Razer?… I’m using the mouse without it.

    • Some design quirks, Terrible App experience just to get to the main driver
On one hand, I'm glad there's competition to vertical mouse. It does prevent carpel tunneling on my wrist since my last vertical mouse is Logitech MX. There are 2 down sides to this but I feel like I can live with cause I was this close into returning this product. 1) It is intention that it is built so you cannot lift the mouse which is a handicap if I need to recenter my mouse on my mouse pad. But I found a trick if I try to tilt the mouse with that thin side that protects your pinky to lift and drag it without the sensor picking it up. I realized because of how Logetec MX was built inflated out was that my pinky got a grip to lift that without thought. 2) Their app is as bloated as buying a Dell of the 90s. Soooo many apps and they wanna compete with their own online store that I really just want to download the driver to adjust the sensibility and turn off the rgb. And they named them so "COOL" that I'm confused what is important or not or ones that pops ads on my notification bar. I'll give this a try for a week, but what I do like about this build unlike Logitech is the feel of long term quality. Just wish they can go thru a few more design pass and quirks for real use. ... show more
