The gold is warmer in color than the cool color silver. I opted for the silver mouse. I thought the gold was too warm in color. (I did return the gold mouse. I just did not like the color.) It is up to you what color you prefer. I thought this would be a helpful visual key for those individuals who prefer matching accessories. As for function and the feel of the mouse. Both are light weight. The wireless plug in to the computer offers a USB C on one side, USB A on the other. Charging cable is included with an adapter to switch USB A to USB C for the charging cable. This is so nice you can use USB A or C or both! Mouse offers Bluetooth capabilities. I used the wireless USB plug in to use the mouse. I have not tried the Bluetooth. I charged the mouse completely. I turn it off between uses. I have not charged it in a month. However, I use the mouse approximately 1 hour a day. I found that this functions like your typical mouse. Easy to use, I found it to be comfortable. It was accurate and it was easy to move with a mousepad. I have not tried it without a mousepad. The mouse itself is quiet. The media could not be loaded. Such good quality , the size is perfect and has no noise at all. It is so comfortable, it connects to bluetooth so quick. It works really smoothly.

It's worth the money and an excellent product so far. This wireless bluetooth mouse is perfect with my Mac works great and holds a charge. I don't have to keep changing batteries. I just plug it into my Mac and it charges while my Mac charges. Comes with an adapter made especially for a Mac. Also, it has two settings, one for bluetooth and one for plug into the computer. So far I'm so happy with this product. Before buying this mouse I had bought one from a major retail box store and was disappointed. I had to keep changing the batteries in it.
