  • Plenty of storage and quick
CPU: i7 Graphics Description: RTX 3070 Ti Style: QHD 240Hz
Bought this for my daughter a couple of years ago. Its still going strong with no issues. She's used it for college and gaming at the same time. Plenty of memory storage and still as fast as when we got it.

  • Look elsewhere…
CPU: i7 Graphics Description: RTX 3070 Ti Style: QHD 240Hz
Purchased the product 6 months ago. The product is decent, but there are definitely many many better options out there. I had a small spillage incident. The laptop shut down and did not turn on. Honestly, having experience of owning at least 7-8 different laptops in the past and the amount of the spillage; I did not think much of it. Just in case, I had the laptop powered off and left it for 3 days. It did not power on. I contacted the CS and they declined to warrant the product. The quote I received for repair was nearly 1/2 the cost of the laptop. I have used razer products for a long and have endorsed it as well. I will not be anymore and would advise everyone else to stay away as well. I can see that some might be temped to try their product with cumulative price drops, but I am sure most people can figure that out looking at the negative reviews of their product in many people’s recent reviews. Something has definitely changed within the company. For those that are researching to purchase a laptop in this price range, look into Asus, Acer, Dell, Lenovo, MSI, or even Apple. I still think Macbooks are overpriced(based on my need), but at least their product is dependable. I’ve even had the Macbook fully submerged in water and it still functioned without any problems. With the current support that Razer is providing and the dependability of their product, there is no reason to purchase ANY product from this company. ... show more

  • Razer laptops are poorly engineered
CPU: i7 Graphics Description: RTX 3070 Ti Style: QHD 240Hz
The blade series has a really a slim design, I’m assuming to win the hearts of the MacBook Air fans. Unfortunately trying to fit so much power into such a small form factor creates little room for airflow, and the Razer gets exactly that. What you’ll notice is the laptop gets hot enough to make your hands sweat, and unfortunately the exhaust for the primary fans is pointed directly at the bottom of the 4k screen. Lithium and heat aren’t friends, and this would probably explain why countless Reddit posts on the Razer page are about batteries swelling only a few years into ownership. The cord adapter will also get uncomfortably hot to the touch. Dodged a bullet on this one. ... show more

  • Buy Elsewhere
CPU: i7 Graphics Description: RTX 3070 Ti Style: QHD 240Hz
Purchased a “new” Razer blade 17. I did notice there was a “used-good” version available for around $250 less, but having had bad experiences with used products in the past, I decided that it would be best to just spend the extra money and buy new. The laptop I received had clearly been opened already. The factory tape was peeled off of the box, and the rest of the parts packaging was not re-applied correctly. On the underside of the laptop, there was a strange white residue on it (I have purchased Razer laptops before, and none of them had this). Also, when I turned the laptop on for the first time, it kept blue screening. Took around 10 tries to get it to boot correctly. When the computer booted up finally, it refused to connect to the internet, even after multiple updates and driver installs, it simply struggled to connect to WiFi. I believe the WiFi card is faulty, hence why someone else had returned it. Moral of the story was; I paid more money for a NEW product, and I received a used product instead. ... show more

  • Razer has big quality control issues
CPU: i7 Graphics Description: RTX 3070 Ti Style: QHD 240Hz
First of all, I want to say this is a very nice laptop and has great build quality. HOWEVER, it appears that Razer has some very poor quality control (or lack there of). Before purchasing this I did read online and saw from many well known tech reviewers that Razer has been known for having QC issues and terrible product support. Unfortunately, I ignored these red flags and went ahead and purchased the 17 inch 2022 model with the 3070ti. Upon receiving it and setting it up I was very pleased with it, until I went to plug it into an external monitor (I actually tried several), via either of the two Thunderbolt 4/USB-C ports which are supposed to support DisplayPort 1.4 video output. Neither port would recognize any monitor I plugged into them (yet data drives/devices work fine with the ports). I reached out the Razer support and about 24 hours later heard back from them and they wanted me to try the usual stupid trial and error steps. Keep in mind that I repair laptops as part of my daily job. I searched the Razer insider forums and found that there are a number of other people with the same issue and have not gotten any resolution from Razer support. Razer hasn't even had them RMA/send the laptops into them so they can analyze the issue. Another thing that is alarming is that there are ZERO drivers, firmware, etc available for download for ANY of the 2022 models on Razer's website. Every other laptop manufacturer out there has drivers available for download on their support sites. Instead, Razer just has their Synapse software (which is also terrible). I get that Razer isn't the size of Dell, HP, Lenovo or Asus, but with the prices they charge for these high end products, you would think they would offer better support and have decent QC. My advice to anyone out there is to stay away from Razer laptops. UPDATE: I have been staying on top of the Razer Insider forums regarding this and it appears someone was able to resolve it by downgrading their Nvidia drivers to a previous version. UGH! That is something Razer support should have had people try early on. Too late as I already shipped back my unit ... show more

  • Contained virus and malware and false advertisement, my display is only 15.5 in
CPU: i7 Graphics Description: RTX 3070 Ti Style: QHD 240Hz
The first thing I did was check to make sure all the processors and graphics cards were on the PC and they were. The second thing I did was run a virus software to check if the Pc was safe and it was not. I found multiple programs which allowed access to my info to my PC and it also contained malware. Buyer beware and make sure to run safety checks and get your pc scrubbed. It looked brand new and even took me through the windows setup so it looked clean but when I ran software check it revealed more. My display is also only 15.5 in not 17.3 ... show more
