  • Works flawlessly
Pattern: Green Switches - Tactile & Clicky
The media could not be loaded. I ordered this thing renewed. Totally worth it. Saved about $80usd. Everything works no problem. The keyboard itself is a little pricy but it is packed with tons of features. The software, Razr synapse, seems to be far better developed than most other software. There is a small learning curve. I was able to get everything set up fairly easily. Macros, lighting, etc. I paired the Black Widow v4 pro with a basilisk v3 pro and man they are stunning. I found that synapse can even control the argb on my motherboard and works way better than the native motherboard software does. So, win win for me. The response on this keyboard is insane and can be set to poll at 2000. I got the green switches. I love the clicky og feel of them. They are loud. I also have a black widow mini with the yellow switches. If you don’t want all the noise, get the yellow switches. They are much quieter. The pro version does have two wires. One for the keyboard itself and one for powering the rgb. There is also a usb pass through giving you a great place to plug in your mouse dongle to take advantage of light speed tech. Allot of people complain about the two wires, but I’ve noticed most high end wired keyboards with usb pass through and rgb seem to all have them. So, I fully anticipated this and accept it. So far, while this is not a high end keyboard snob keyboard, it is high end and awesome. ... show more

  • Unreliable and faulty
2nd Razer keyboard in a row that has catastrophically failed within a very short time. You can be pounding on a key, and it won't register. Or you can have keys that press multiple times. It's a crapshoot with Razer and I will never buy another keyboard from them for as long as they are plagued with these issues. I bought their V2 and their V4, and the same problems persist. I really wanted to like this brand. Their software is OK. Their aesthetic is really good, as is their build quality. Their keys are horrible. ... show more

  • a very fancy keyboard
Pattern: Green Switches - Tactile & Clicky
The shipping was a little weird... No outer box or anything - just stuck in a big padded envelope. So it arrived a little squished, but intact. The packaging for the keyboard seemed off, too. I'm more-used to glossy boxes with pretty pictures and lots of foam or cardboard filler to protect the device. This was just a plain brown box with the Razer logo on it. But, weirdness with packaging and shipping aside, the keyboard is pretty nice. I got the tactile switches, rather than the linear, so they're nice and clicky. The RGB lighting is fun. Even the wrist-rest has lighting. I like that there's a separate mute button, instead of integrating it into the volume scroll-wheel. And the extra macro buttons and knob are handy. What may not be obvious from the pictures is that there's a couple additional buttons on the left edge of the keyboard. All things considered, I'm pretty happy with this purchase. It does what I need it to do. ... show more

  • Refurbished is Always a Gamble
Pattern: Green Switches - Tactile & Clicky
I didn't even realized I had ordered a refurb at first, but I am never really turned off by the idea, because using less plastic as a planet is lit. Unfortunately, the unite arrived with a multitude of issues: -Backspace, H, / and ?, and F9 didn't work at all. H and Backspace started to work occasionally before I returned the item -Pressing / and ? key would enable Caps Lock, but pressing it again doesn't disable it. -The rotating encoder dial was not very rigid, and didn't seem right. -The right Alt key and the Options key were swapped for functionality. Fabulous keyboard otherwise; I only ordered it because I didn't think there was a white one out there, but after re-checking Razer's website, they DO have one, so I decided to purchase new and in a color that matches my PC better. I still recommend purchasing refurbished devices when possible and comfortable doing so, as it can always be returned for a full refund, but this was my experience ordering this item. ... show more

  • Double-typing key right out of the box
Decided to get a nicer gaming keyboard, but my a key is continually double-entering, and I only unboxed it an hour ago. I tried lowering the polling rate as recommended, and it seems to have made it worse in some cases, as the a key will lag. It will work for a little while and then do it again randomly. I had to retype every a in the first two sentences of this review, but it seems to be working again for now :') I did some research after and found that not only is this a known issue for these models, but the switches aren't easily replaceable as they are soldered on. Cool..... Arranged for a return/swap for another identical, but I think maybe I got off easy if this one is only having issues with a single key. We'll give the next one a shot, but if it has any similar key issues, I'll return it for good. It is unfortunate, because apart from the key issue, I LOVE this keyboard! It is comfy, the wrist pad is perfect and squishy, and the M keys on the side are very nice. I was able to adjust the color of lighting on individual keys to make my gaming keys stand out. The media keys are lovely, even if the symbols on them don't light up (which is kinda annoying -- but I was able to make my volume buttons/mute button different colors to help with identification in the dark). The orange are pretty clicky still. I like the feel of them, but my friends can hear me typing in our discord calls. Unfortunately, none of the pros matter if the keyboard can't type reliably because the build components are notoriously bad. Fingers crossed I can change this review once I get in my replacement! Edit after a couple months: my second had the same issue!! I But.... I tried removing the offending key, and spraying it down with a tiny bit of rubbing alcohol. Canned air to dry. It stopped! They seem to be very finniky with dust, but as long as it is fixable, I think the keyboard is worth it if you get it on sale. ... show more

  • Really good key board
Pattern: Green Switches - Tactile & Clicky
It is good but just have to get used to it. Did find that some of the key binds were loose in the package but that wasn't too hard to fix. I just got it though, will see if problems arise soon.
