The Raymate BT speaker is a great product, especially for the price paid ($21.99). For its size, it has very decent sound, rich bass, and good loudness. Have listened to it mostly in the shower to such genres as hip hop and rock with almost no distortion at full volume. With its IPX7 rating, I have no fears of it getting wet when changing volume or tracks while in the shower (or for that matter, next to the pool next Summer). User interface is simple with large, easy to press tactile buttons. The unit feels solid, like it is designed well (doesn't feel cheap or flimsy). I even like its "reving" power-on & -off sounds. Have had zero issues connecting via BT. It has a handy small metal handle on the end so I can hang it from a shower hook. After a month and several 20 min plays per week, I'm still working off the charge from the factory! I'm very pleased with this purchase and would normally give this product a solid 4+ rating, but given the low price paid, I'm going to give it 5 stars. ... show more

The speaker performed better than was priced. I was amazed by the quality of the sound. It connected to my Bluetooth without issue or concern. I was initially skeptical, but my doubts were no longer a concern as the Raymate did not disappoint. I'll continue to test out its use and sound in different environments. For the most part, I've used it in my room to boost the sound from my iPhone and when I work in my garage gym. My oldest likes it so much that I plan to purchase one for him when he returns from college. Buttons are great. Simple to use and understand. Easy to carry. Lightweight in both ease, transfer, and storage. I sometimes use the Aux feature, and it sounds excellent through this plug-in. While I'd recommend this, know that the watts are limited to a specific volume. However, small parties and personal shouldn't be an issue. I got this for my GF to stream music from iPhone. She wanted something waterproof with better sound than her phone. Something lightweight and easy to use. Check. We compared this to another similar unit by Ancor, and this one came out ahead. This one sounded more natural, versus a metal or boxy sound. Things I like, other than the $20 price tag, is that it uses USB-C to charge instead of old school micro USB. That makes it better supported in the future, and it also charges much faster. Second, the fact that it is waterproof rated at IP7 is good when using in the bathtub area. Third, it has a slightly better sound quality and bass, and plays louder because it has more power output. Another unexpected benefit is that this unit has a microSD (TF card is the same thing) so I can load tons of my MP3 songs and it will play them standalone. ... show more

I was searching for a low-cost Bluetooth speaker. I had tried several others at the local store and found the sound quality lacking. I found this on Amazon at less than $30. My first impression was that the box was much heavier than expected. I open the box and found the speaker charged and ready to use. Pairing was a snap from my iPhone. The highs are clear, and the bass is solid and easily controlled from my iPhone. My only complaint is the control panel on the top of the speaker is difficult to access as the controls are only accessible by feel and not readily visible. In the right light they can be seen. All I wanted was a cheap Bluetooth speaker to listen to some podcasts in the background. Don't need waterproof or all-day battery, just connectivity and decent sound at low volumes. This works fine. Battery life looks to be around 9-10 hours per charge. Speaker paired quickly and though kind of dumb, the battery percentage does show on my iPhone. Pairing is pretty fast, much smoother than my Sonos system. I spent $20 for this so you decide how life-changing or perfect something of this price can be. The build quality feels solid enough, buttons are clicky and responsive, should take a drop or two, no loose corners or seams or thin grilles. Sound is neutral, normal, sounds as I would expect. Bought this speaker based on my needs and the reviews on Amazon. I recently thought my previous Bluetooth speaker had been stolen from my car. As it turns out I found it a few weeks later but will likely use my new Raymate speaker instead. Great little speaker! Seems to be well built. No connection issues. Great sound!! Think this sounds better than my little Bose speaker. Decent amount of bass and no distortion even when at full volume. Love the fact that you can connect two speakers together and have stereo sound!
