I like these pads because they are OEM. Good fit, nice kit, I just wish all pad kits came with a little packet of the caliper slide pin grease. Anytime your taking calipers off you should be cleaning those pins up and lubing them.

I read the reviews & the positive feedback was the deciding factor on these brakes. I had to replace my 4Runner front brakes as I noticed longer braking from a distance & having some vibration at a complete stop. Upon further inspection the brakes on the driver side had a broken retainer clip barely holding on & causing the loose play when coming to a stop. The original brakes were almost at the end of their life as some of the brake pads had gaps in them starting to desenagrate with lots of brake dust on the brake caliper. I assume these are are organic brakes pads that produce alot of brake dust replaced by my auto mechanic two years ago. I wanted to replace my brakes with ceramic pads since they are more durable, have more stopping power, & produce less brake dust. These are cheaper than buying from a retail store & glad they came with replacement brake retainer clips & clips to hold in the brake rods, because my broke & would have to go buy them at the auto parts store. I did the replacement myself, you can learn from YouTube videos if you need help & the tools needed. These brakes did exceed my expectations! I love the hybrid tech with the smoothness and low dust of ceramic and the bite of semi-metallic. It's a little early to see how long they'll last, but the build quality is superb. From what I see, they will last a long time. I only gave a 4 star because there is some noise that's inherent with semi-metallic brakes. This is not user error, as I installed these correctly. I cleaned the calipers, used high temp silicone grease on the slide pins, and the backing plates. The included shims were good quality, but a little hard to fit the pads in. Had to bend them a little. Maybe was crushed a little during shipping? All in all, a quality pad at an awesome price. ... show more

Title: Worst Brake Pads Ever – Complete Waste of Money! If I could give the Raybestos Premium Element3 EHT™ Replacement Front Brake Pad Set for my BMW X3 zero stars, I would. These are by far the WORST brake pads I have ever had the misfortune of purchasing. Not only did I waste my hard-earned money on these terrible pads, but I also ended up paying a lot more in labor costs because of how awful they are. To start, the brake pads were supposed to be premium quality, but from the very first day after installation, they squeaked like a rusty old bicycle. I thought, okay, maybe they just need a break-in period. Wrong! The squeaking never stopped. In fact, it got worse every time I hit the brakes, making my sleek BMW X3 sound like a broken-down clunker. It was downright embarrassing to drive with that constant screeching noise. The installation cost me $150, which I was fine with, expecting these pads to last. But instead of lasting, the noise was so unbearable that I had no choice but to go back to my mechanic. That’s where I found out these pads were not just noisy but also wearing unevenly! My mechanic was shocked at how poorly they were performing. It cost me another $250 just to remove these nightmare brake pads and replace them with a new set from a different brand. That’s $400 down the drain – all because of these cheap, poorly made pads. I could have saved myself the trouble and frustration by simply avoiding Raybestos altogether. Now I have a proper set of brake pads on my car from a reputable brand, and guess what? No noise, no uneven wear, and my car finally feels safe to drive again. To anyone reading this review – stay far away from the Raybestos Element3 EHT™ brake pads. Do yourself a favor and buy literally ANY other brand. The stress, embarrassment, and extra costs are simply not worth it.
