  • The Ravemen FR500 excels to alert oncoming traffic day/night--it lights the road for night riding
I originally was going to buy the Ravemen FR160, but then saw they had two more recent models, the 300 and the 500, each brighter than the others. Reviews of the 160 and 300 lauded their visibility, but thought they fell short of lighting up the road ahead sufficiently. The FR500 is very bright, enough to light up the road for night riding without another special night light. I had my son ride my bike several blocks away at night and ride back towards me. It was very bright, like a single car or motorcycle headlight and brought attention to bright to miss or ignore. The wide angle ensures that drivers off axis will easily see it, day or night! I like that I can connect it to my Garmin 530 mount and mount my Garmin bike computer directly on top of it with the standard Garmin connectors. It includes two short USB cables with connectors to adapt to your Garmin computer charging port--not sure I will ever use that to charge my bike computer, and am considering whether I want to pack it along for typical bike rides. Probably only the very longest of rides, but then will the light run out of juice before my bike computer? Lastly, my Garmin mount is angled up so that viewing the display is ideal. However, the light is then angled up into the oncoming driver's eyes and also does not directly light the road. I plan to buy a new mount with an adjustable angle and recommend you do too. ... show more

  • Great bicycle light and more!
This is an outstanding bicycle lights with great quality both in design and performance. Light is very bright at highest of 3 levels making it ideal for me on early morning rides before the heat of the day. I ride at a 15 mph average and feel confident riding along with visibility of potholes clearly seen and avoided from two focused beams straight ahead of me. The light is also visible from the sides with 90 degree spread of light which offers another point of safety from cars approaching from left or right side. Also will charge other items such as Garmin GPS or my phone if needed during a long ride from included extra charging cables. Does everything you want and more. ... show more

  • Excellent Bike Light
This Ravemen Bicycle Light is a premium bike light. It's build quality is the best I've seen in its class. The bike light is built with strong and durable materials that give it the ability to survive years of trouble-free riding on all types of terrain. Its IPX6 water-proof rating allows for worry free riding in the rain. This bike light puts out a bright 500 lumen beam. Its multiple mode settings also allows for a 300 or 100 lumen beam and you can set it to output a solid beam or output different types of pulsing beams. It is designed in a way so it can be mounted to certain bike computers right out of the box. The two negatives I have about this light is its price and what isn't included with it. I'll start with the ladder. This bike light does not come with a handlebar mount. It does come with the hardware needed to attach it to certain brands of bike computers. If you don't already have one of these on your bike then you will need to purchase a handlebar mount which is another $15. That brings me to the price of this light. If the handlebar mount was included I would agree with the $60 price tag. I feel that a price of $45 to $50 for this bike light without the handlebar mount is more reasonable. These two aforementioned negatives is why I give it a 4 star rating. Shipping only took 3 days and it arrived undamaged. ... show more

  • Raveman 500
Get the 500 lumens. It is more money than the 360 model but much brighter and longer battery life. No problems with the product. Comes with adapters, so you can use with Garmin or Wahoo. 5 star product.

  • Brilliant product
Fit perfectly on my Garmin support and the Edge 530 right on top of it. Charge once per month for daily riding (strobe mode). Don't even have to worry about turning the light on and off with the movement detection setting. Brilliant product.

  • No mounting kit, no mounting instructions without a computer, no mention of it in the listing.
Did you know that there is no mounting kit for this? Like you're supposed to buy the mount for it separately, so as is, this thing is worthless. I thought surely I missed something in the listing where it says "Mount Not Included" or "hope you're good with glue or ziptiies because you're SOL" There's also no good way to install it without the mounting kit. It's the shape of a radar detector with nothing to really fasten it down with or otherwise. I looked through the instructions as well and the only thing it lists for mounting is how to connect it to a Garmin or Wahoo- nothing about how to mount it to a bike. So if you don't have a trip computer on your bike, then you're not going to be able to use this. Or they could include the mount or make it very clear no mount is included. I would have returned this if I bought it and I'm sure others will too. It's not like they didn't include a USB-C charging cable or forgot a screw.... There is nothing to mount it and that's not mentioned on the listing or instructions. I'm sure the light is great. Feels and looks good, but I'm not going to ride my bike holding this in my hand to find out and my bike is way too nice to duct tape this on there. I've got a USB-C powered paperweight. ... show more
