Fast efficient installation, only one tool needed, 10mm socket wrench. Well engineered and constructed. Very smooth operation when raising and lowering the hood. Good value and improvement.

I bought these hood struts for my '23 Jeep Wrangler JL (2 door Willys version). It took about 15 minutes to install them (great packaging, and great (simple) install instructions). They work like a champ...one of those "unseen" mods that will make life easier every time you have to lift the hood on your Jeep. Tip: Install the upper portion of each strut first. You'll have to lift the hood about an inch to lock in the lower portion of the strut..if working alone, do this from the original "hood prop" side. Once that side is complete, the hood seems to stay in place well enough to finish the other side. If it takes more than 15 minutes for the install, then you've been talking neighbor too long. ... show more

Jeep should be doing this on all the Ranglers and Gladiators besides just the 392 option. This one is a no-brainer if you do any work under the hood. I know Jeep people are traditionalists and don't like big changes over the years but none of us would mind getting that big rod out of the way holding up the hood. There are other cheaper options out there than these struts but I recommend spending a few extra bucks on these it's well worth it. Easy to install and well-made struts look like what the factory should have done for us to begin with. ... show more

This was installed in 5-10 mins and it’s one of those items that should come stock on these jeeps. I installed a similar setup on my JK and it really is one of those convenience items that are much better than the factory parts. You won’t regret this purchase.
