The number one complaint on ebikes is that they only go at full speed. This is the case with this one too. In the lowest pedal assist setting it goes 15mph whether you want to or not. So forget about a leisurely drive other than in full manual mode or by using the twist grip throttle. The PAS modes are for getting from here to there as fast as possible. Does 20+mph in higher modes too. The bike is well built and seems very sturdy. Get a friend to help getting it out of the box and to put it together. It's not complicated, but requires some serious strength to unfold. Hoping that a little lubrication will help. ... show more

My plan was to purchase an eBike to store in trailer to take camping. Primary function being; park trailer use bike to ride down dirt roads to make sure spot was empty and we could “make” it thru with trailer. When I receive eBike it was well packed and easy to assemble. (There are several videos on the internet showing people unboxing/assembling) I thought there was a small (about 2in) mark/scratch on the frame, but it turn out that it is the residue from the expanding foam. (I did attempt to remove, but didn’t want to damage paint and it doesn’t bother me). For reference: In the past 30 years I only rode a bike for about 3 month (failed attempt at exercise) During my first test drive I was hooked. Hard to explain, but riding up and down the street effortlessly just made me want to ride more. I decided to take eBike out for a few days until I got tired of it. I have had the eBike for 30 days. According to phone gps app I have logged 225 miles. 80% on greenway or bike path on road. (I try to stick to greenway) 15% on dirt roads. 5% on bike trails. (Not really my thing, but I wanted to test it out) I have since gotten the first/rear basket and regularly go to store. Needless to say I love it. At first, when I used the throttle I had the tendency to go full throttle, which would make the bike take off. Now I rarely use the throttle. For the most part I have the bike in Peddle Assist level 2 or 3, gear at #7 and just peddle. I still have to learn how to use and get comfortable with gears. (it is hard to peddle from a stop at intersection when you are in gear 7 and at 0 peddle assist.) Basically I am still learning the best ways to use peddle assist/gears. (It is unsafe to “hit” the throttle from a stop at intersection when you are in peddle assist 5) I would also recommended to go through the controller setting. 1. Set bike size to 20 (MPH and miles driven are now closely match gps….not exactly, but close) 2. Some throttle and peddle sensitivity. I fiddle with the numbers until it matched what I expected. Top Speed Honestly I am not a good reference for top speed and that is not my thing. For a short time in Peddle assist 5 and peddling I was able to maintain 25-26 mph for about a mile. Like I said speed isn’t really my thing, I prefer cruising @12-15 mph (I will be honest sometime 15mph seems too fast for me, especially on slight curves) Range Of course it varies on weight, wind, how much you peddle ect ect What I have noticed is that as I am getting better at using gears and peddles I am getting more range. For example, at first I would rely on throttle or increase peddle assist level to maintain my speed going up a hill or slight incline. Now I try to shift gears and peddle longer. It definitely seems like I am using less bars on battery for similar trip that I took at beginning. (This is just empirical observations, I didn’t do any data collection) (I did do one 20 mile ride and had about 40% of battery left) I did drop my bike while adjusting the kickstand and completely yank out the wires and cracked/broke the throttle case. This experience taught me that I will not be getting much, if any support from my local bike shops. (The bike mechanic was helpful and told me how I could replace part, but they didn’t order parts) In less than 24hrs, using the internet, ordering a part from amazon and I am sure some luck cause I wasn’t sure if new throttle assembly would work, I was able to replace the part. F.Y.I. search for SHYEKOY Half Twist Throttle in amazon to replace throttle for Rattan LM750 Durability I don’t know. Looks/feel sturdy but I have only had it for a month. I think if I keep up with maintenance it will easily last over 3 years. Overall this eBike has been great. I am not sure what it was that got me hooked, but I am. Things I recommend: Phone Holder and GPS app Lock. (I also got an air-tag, not a guarantee but it is something) Oh and about the “back” seat. I never planned on using it, actually I took it off during the assemble portion. I have enough worries keeping myself safe, I am not going to risk someone else. I also can not tell you how easy it is to fold. In the month I have had it, I only folded it once and it fit in the back cab portion of a Ram 1500 (seat up of truck and no basket on bike) ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I am an e-bike enthusiast and because I love to travel and camp, I own an RV and travel to various states with my family. Summer is my favorite and most enjoyable time to travel and enjoy the outdoors. In order for us to have more entertainment while we travel, we decided to purchase an electric bike. The main reason for the e-bike is that after the use of environmentally friendly electrical power assistance, we do not emit harmful and toxic gases when riding the e-bike, not to mention polluting the surrounding environment and affecting the quality of the air. This allows us to enjoy ourselves without putting a strain on the environment. I take the solar mobile power station to charge at night so that I can enjoy my e-bike whenever and wherever I want. When I decided to buy an e-bike, I did a lot of research on brands, quality, performance, power, range and features. I needed a folding e-bike that would fit in the van. To reduce the stress of accommodating us and at the same time, we also had sufficient requirements in terms of off-road and range. Luckily, after comparing online and offline, we found rattan. we contacted rattan and after a series of inquiries and decided to buy the rattan ebike. After placing the order, the seller shipped the bike quickly and provided some notes. We were thrilled to receive the package three days later. The package arrived in perfect condition and we checked the outer package carefully to see if there were any problems and then started to open it. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the packaging inside was also very well done. The foam had filled the inside of the box and had protected the bike very well from bumps in transit. It took us a little while to unpack and install. It proved to be worth all the time and waiting. Wow, the bike is perfect. Just what I was expecting. Built solid and of excellent quality. The accessories on the bike are very user friendly display, front and rear lights, soft seat bag, and rear saddle. This is everything I wanted. The battery is 48V 13AH. I am very happy with the range, I can use the pedals to assist my workout and save power to get a longer range. I can take the e-bike with me on holiday with my family during this beautiful summer season. If you want an everyday e-bike, this is also a great choice. The shape and performance of the bike is also perfect for urban commuting. Before the traffic jams and wasted time waiting for the bus or trains, now I enjoy taking this to downtown Detroit for urban riding. I would recommend the rattan brand to everyone, even though you may see different questions. With regard to customer service, I have always received a very detailed response every time I have contacted them and all my questions have been resolved very well. I was also able to call the customer service number. If you have any problems with the car, please make sure to contact the seller, who will judge the different problems and send you a repair to solve the problem. The quality of the bike is exccellent. Strong frame, excellent derailer, wheels and brakes. The safistication of the bike can be frustrating. The battery on my bike needed adjustments to seat propertly to connect and lock into place. Turning the elecronice control on is frustrating. Should be a simple process, but is inconsistant. It is not a simple bike to operate. Several electronic settings or options make the learning process more complicated than it should be. The electronic controls could be more user friendly. The trouble shooting guide in the owners manuel is insufficient to answer common questions about set up and initial operation. ... show more

I bought this bike last April. It worked great up 'til about two months ago. It has just been cutting out on me. I'll get about 5 feet and It'll just shut off. I didn't pay $1,338.00 for a piece of junk.
