  • DECENT - BUY THIS
Seems to be well made, sturdy, and clean. Nothing cheap or cheezy about it. Fits the standoff brackets I bought eighteen years ago or so. You can easily tie a bundle of six cables together at the ends, there's a small tie-off lug at either end of the two 6-connection blocks. See the picture. The problem with this is not one of quality but one of application. Don't buy this if you aren't reallllly comfortable with punching wires because anything you do with one cable will be disturbing five other cables. Anything! Be sure to get extra cable ties as you may find it safer to isolate/tie off each cable in turn after punching down. You might find it easier and more reliable to buy a plain block plate that accepts individual keystone jacks, especially if you're working in a crowded wall box and have fat fingers. Those tend to be not as space saving as this thing. Anyway, if my needs change, I would definitely buy another one of these in a second. I have one of these seriously overcrowded cabinets and this thing can give me some well appreciated space. ... show more

  • Will not fit in a 10" depth closed network rack, only open rack or 8-9" depth 10" cabinet.
Updated review: The seller sent me some photos indicating a mount point for racks. I can see in their cabinet the rails are further back for a 9" or 8" depth, but I need the full 10x10" depth for my cabinets and as such they will not work for me. Because these can fit some cabinets using the plastic mount, I've updated from a 1-star to a 4-star. Note that one could reverse the clip to be on the front of the plate and mount it backwards, but that becomes its own headache when it comes to inserting cables. Some buyers can probably make that work, but I'll need to either drill holes or 3D print something. Original review: "【1u & 10 inch】12 port patch panel cat6 is 1u height and 10 inch width. Easy to Install this network patch panel wall mount into 10 inch standard wallmount and rackmount or cabinet." Why would you make a 1U 10" product and not include mounting hardware for 10" network racks and cabinets? While I understand this isn't a problem for some buyers, it's a problem for me. Because it specifically listed rack and cabinet mounting as 'easy' I assumed it would come with some kind of bracket or alternative faceplate with holes. The text is misleading. This is only for wall mounting. If you want to put this in a network cabinet, you have to drill holes yourself, which means if the product has problems you can't return it. ... show more

  • Good quality
Good quality for the price. The labels don’t line up with the punch downs precisely, but if you’ve worked with Ethernet cable for any length of time it isn’t an issue. Great for a simple but neatly wired home network.

  • Well made, easy to use
Well made and easy to use. I mounted it to bare studs. In order to do this, I mounted a sister stud on to an existing stud. Then the holes lined up perfectly.

  • Great design at a low cost
I added a structured wiring panel to my 1969 home with a number of CAT6 runs to various devices with back feeds to three DECO WiFi 6 mesh pucks. Added this to have a legit 110 panel demarc. Everything terminated without issue and all devices are working perfectly.

  • Meets my Former Telco Tech Expectation for Quality
Title says it all. If you are familiar with this style of panel, they are good quality that match typical expectations well.

  • Worth the money
First time buyer for these, but the price was right, and I was redoing my house with Cat6 so what could I loose. The price is pretty good on this little Patch Panel, but just barely. If it were a dollar more, I would drop the stars down a notch. Speaking of notches, when you press your ends into the RJ45 receptacles, sometimes they don't click/lock in unless you bare down quite a bit. Not a secure feeling when you aren't sure if the plugs will stay plugged. So far so good, but I'm still fearful. On the back side I think it was all "fine" but just barely. There's not much in the way of cable management assistance on these little guys. I was hoping that the plastic frame that you can mount to the wall or what not, would have a place you could zip tie the bundle for security, but there isn't. When punching down your wires, make sure to support the board with your other hand. It gets a little bendy in the middle, and it feels like it might give way with too much punch-down-ing. Overall, I am very happy with this board. I will be ordering a second one because I am a fan of same brand looks when it comes to duplicate things (and I'm out growing the 12 ports quicker than I expected). Cat6 all the things! ... show more
