I love these "crayons". You do not use them like regular crayons. These are some of the wonderful, versatile Tom Holtz products. Draw a couple of lines on a non-stick mat. Use a paintbrush and a tiny drop of water. Stir and use to paint with. I use mine mostly for "painting" some of my papercrafts. I don't use it to cover large areas but I guess you could. It leaves a kind of watercolor effect. There are a lot of different color sets. They last a long time. ... show more

Wasn't sure I'd like these but wanted to try them. I'm very happy with how well they work. I used with embossing folder images.

The sticks are creamy and very pigmented when dry. I took off a star because I don’t love the effect when water is added. You can see in the picture of the silver that the entire area didn’t blend together and fully fill in but rather some of the pigment was picked up to create a light wash outside of where the dry pigment was placed. I’ll experiment some more to see if I can get a darker area that is more blended but the light wash is pretty. ... show more
