I purchased this hood for a kitchen remodel. The installer didn't have any issues putting it in, and it's beautiful. It is about as loud as a regular vent hood - I would not call it quiet or loud. But it is effective and helpful at exhausting fumes and heat. Looks and functions exactly as described.

I installed this unit this weekend. It was not difficult to install but there are no dimensions at which to install the mounting brackets so you have to do the math. The exhaust is 6" so I had to make a quick run to the hardware store for a 6"-4" reducer to match my vent. The base of the unit seems solid and of good quality but the chimney portion is VERY thin stainless and the mounting brackets are too light. They are easily bent if you tighten the mounting screws to tight to the wall, then the chimney doesn't sit tight to the wall. The unit has a very modern look. ... show more
