The media could not be loaded. I did a lot of research on range hoods before choosing this VIKIO Home model, which is hailed as the latest generation. Right out of the box, the stainless steel construction is high quality and durable, and the look is sleek and sturdy. The control system is also very intuitive. Unlike my previous range hood, where I had to repeatedly press '+' and '-' to set the suction speed, and each time I set the wind speed, I needed to press the range hood multiple times to achieve my ideal suction level, this range hood displays the three speed options directly on the touch screen. With a simple tap, you can quickly and easily adjust while cooking. The gesture control is more accurate, probably because the upgraded chip responds more quickly, and the 980 CFM suction quickly clears kitchen smoke, keeping the air fresh and protecting my family from harmful fumes. It is also noticeably quieter than my old range hood. My cat used to run away when the range hood was on, but this range hood doesn't bother him at all. Overall, this is a powerful, efficient, and surprisingly quiet upgrade that I am very excited about!

very quiet compared to our microwave fan. install wasn’t too bad but definitely heavy for one person job. if you plan on using this i would highly recommend using 6inch ductwork. we have 4 inch ductwork that was already installed and it works well but i think it would work much better with the suggested 6in. screws that came with it we didn’t use they’re just to long so we just used wall anchors and screws (see picture) so the screw head is inside the cabinet and the anchors are on the inside of the fan. we also switched to a brighter light bulbs (GU10 LED BULBS.. update: We decided to upgrade our ductwork to 8inch from the 4 that was already installed and it made a ton of difference in suction. go 6” minimum but if you’re upgrading from 4 or installing from scratch go 8inch if you can you won’t be sorry you did.

Might have given this 36” stainless vent hood more stars if the dimensions were correct. I wanted a 7” high hood as described in the specs, but is actually only 6” high. Had to add 1” of oak trim between overhead cabinet and hood, so that bottom of hood lined up with height of backsplash. Otherwise looks great, and is reasonably quiet at all three fan levels. Paired with a 36” Karinear electric radiant cooktop.

Range hood is 6” high not 7” high. Caused me problems as my old range hood was 7” high. Will have to do some backsplash fill in. Disappointed as I spent a lot of time looking for the right fit to replace my old range hood. So beware!

Let's be honest, who actually enjoys cleaning up greasy splatters and clinging fumes after a delicious (but messy) homemade meal? Not me. So when my old range hood started wheezing its last breaths, I knew it was time for an upgrade. After much research, I landed on the 30 Inch Under Cabinet Range Hood, and honestly, it's been a life-changer in my kitchen. The first thing that impressed me was the sheer power of this thing. It boasts 980 CFM suction, which is more than enough to handle anything from simmering sauces to fiery stir-fries. I can actually smell the difference in the air – gone are those lingering cooking odors that used to permeate the whole house. The three-speed settings are great for adjusting the suction based on what I'm cooking, and the lowest setting is surprisingly quiet.
