This is just what I was looking for. I have a rainbow my dad gave me. But it smelled like smoke due to him using it for work (he does fire restoration). I could never use it of how bad it smelled. Well, after cleaning the filter a few times and it not working, I decided to try getting a new filter. I never purchased nne before because at the time, they didn’t have these filters on Amazon, I had to purchase it from rainbow and I believe they charge a lot more for their items. I’m so glad I found it here. I paid $40 for what seems to be a genuine rainbow part. I compared it with the old one and they are identical. And now my rainbow vac is like new. I’m happy.

I ordered this filter when I discovered that a rainbow actually had a filter. My rainbow had lost suction and someone told me that there was a filter on it. I had never purchased a replacement filter online before, but considering the price, I thought it was worth a try. The filter looked identical to my old one, fit perfectly, and my Rainbow e2 (Black) vacuum ran with no issues.

I like everything about it; I’ve been married 4 times, and the only custody battle was in my 1st divorce over who would get the rainbow…, I won …,,my husband was trying to sell them; we were the only buyers of it our family thought we were crazy telling people that it was close to 500.00 (in 1975)….then I found one in a thrift store for $8.00 ! They said it didn’t work (but they didn’t know it had to have water in order to operate . THAT one lasted about ten years …then I bought my next one in Sacramento IT cost $1500.00 !! I’ve had it the balance of the remaining 47 yrs, no problems. Which brings me to the hepa filter: my husband never TOLD me about a filter, and I never read the instruction booklet, which is possibly why my 1st machine burnt out…,I found the manual and was …trying to order caster wheels and caught the part in the book that said filter should be replaced every 24-36 months WHAT ???! This poor machine ! And it was STILL working perfectly. So I gave it new wheels, a filter, a new manifold, AND found out that a new machine is costing a LOT more these days, but I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it💕💕💕💕

I know this has been posted multiple times but I just wanted to confirm that this is still a true OEM original filter. My vacuum is 12 years old. Filter never changed. This replacement was IDENTICAL to the original one in the vacuum from the dealer. This is worth the extra cost. The old filter is the dirty one in the pictures.
