For best results, repairs should be made as soon as possible after the damage occurs and before the break is contaminated by dirt or water. In addition, avoid the use of glass treatments after the crack has formed and prior to repair. However, glass treatments can be applied one (1) week after repair. The kit works best on round damage not more than one inch in diameter, and cracks not longer than 12 inches. It will not repair damage to more than one layer of glass. Pro-tip to avoid poor results - refrain from applying resin too quickly, air pockets forming during the application or repairing a contaminated crack as this may compromise your results.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Bought this off of recommendations from Google/Reddit. I was a bit hesitant as a girl who has ZERO experience patching a chipped windshield. I've had dealerships handle them in the past, and you couldn't even tell they filled the chip with resin, so my expectations were LOW. Was I wrong! The directions and Youtube video were easy to follow. The resin completely filled in the cracks from my star chip on the first go. A second application for the chip divet erased it from the front - making the entire chip VANISH. Now, on the inside, you can still see the chipped divet, but the cracks are nearly invisible! I also applied this in the garage and a storm rolled in, so I didn't have the sun to set the resin. I kept it outside in cloud cover for a half hour and then it was in my garage overnight and the resin was perfectly dried by morning. I also applied this to a chip that's been chilling on my windshield for the past month, which was another thing I was worried about. In conclusion, get this. Patch your chips. Feel like a winner for a weekend!!

I had 2 small chips and the mechanic told me my windshield would fail inspection (I've had them for years and never failed). So I bought this product - the smaller chip filled in great, and is hardly noticeable. The larger one (less than a 1/4 inch in diameter) ... not so much. Despite being delicate, the pressure of the chamber caused minor cracking on each side of the chip. My insurance would've covered the chip repair 100%, but now I need a brand new windshield in order to pass inspection because they won't repair a chip that's been worked on. So the couple bucks for this product *might* be worth it - but check your insurance policy first. You might have coverage to get it fixed for free, professionally!

Not a HUGE car girly - I would post pictures but I forgot to do before and after - My daughter’s little BMW had a small ding and was beginning to crack up and down. So purchased this rather than 165 dollars for them to fix Honestly- super easy - even your everyday call my dad when there is a car problem girl can do it. The mechanism did have some trouble sticking where the ding and crack was - but was able to manipulate it Instructions were easy Not super time consuming Did not have to do the “crack” instructions because product I put in the device filled it right up - Cured quick - Excess was easy to remove with the razor that came with it. And crack and ding isn’t even there anymore (not that I can see) Definitely do it when the sun is out because it cures in direct sunlight. I recommend this product and ordered another one to do my husbands truck for fun :) Definitely worth the money.
