I bought this to support my Minn Kota Ulterra trolling motor. I replaced my old trolling motor for a new more powerful one on my Tracker 175TXW. The new auto deploy/stow Minn Kota necessitated something to support the head of the trolling motor. The RailBlaza fit the bill perfectly! My boat has the versa track system and the RailBlaza mount is 100% compatible. The articulating arm of the RailBlaza makes it finding the sweet spot to support the trolling motor mast perfectly. There is a rubber keeper that holds the motor in place during transport (just remember to unlatch it before you try to deploy your motor). Another note on customer support of this company. They provided me with tracking info and I was excited to see it was delivered. But it wasn't... FedEx had delivered it to the wrong house. I knew this because they take a picture of the package on the porch on delivery. It wasn't my porch... Anyway, I was expecting a mass of finger pointing and a huge headache. I was incredibly surprised at RailBlaza's customer support. They just asked for the photo FedEx provided and said they would take care of it. I was immediately issued a new order. Their honesty paid off because the person who got the package delivered to them in error sent it back (even though they technically didn't have to). So everything worked out perfectly. ... show more

I choose the Railblaza because my trolling motor is not over the gunnel but inside a few inches. The has a small pad bolted to the gunnel and the arm of the mount easily removes when not in use. It can be easily set to any angle inside the gunnel to straight up if mounted on top of the gunnel. It was very stable on the road and in water through a moderate chop.     • Make sure and line up the star pattern on the base with your shaft for best adjustment

Easy to install, 2 screws and done, just make sure to drill the correct size holes because stainless steel screws are weak when torqued.

I have a ranger rb200 and it fit well in the gunnel slot, and had plenty of adjustment to reach the trolling motor. I might update in the future to see how wear and tear is.
